I am working.
It may not be a traditional job.
I am though. I'm also my dads caregiver. He's terminal and disabled. Makes it hard to get out of the house.
He's on oxygen 24/7, he's got urinals, he can't cook for himself.
The state of Nevada won't pay family members to care for him, nor will they put him in a home. They say he doesn't have memory issues like Alzheimers. They don't live with him. I do. So, we're moving home or trying to move home. I've already started the process with the company I was with before we left Colorado last year.
If anyone, and I mean anyone could help... I'd appreciate it. One of my best friends already did, she can't help much, but... Please! I want to make the last little bit of his life pleasant, my little brother deserves to be with his friends.
My pride is taking a hit as it is. I can't tell you how much I would appreciate the help. My gratitude would know no bounds.

*nods* It's hard asking for help, especially financially, but I think you're making the right choice. People giving what they can won't hurt them, and also it brings others a lot of happiness to make a difference for someone else. So it's mutually beneficial.Β

It is. Very much so. I like to help when I can, people have stayed at my place and I haven't asked for much aside from help keeping the house clean. They're there, they can at least pitch in that much. I like helping, it's in my nature, it always has been.Β

You're welcome!!! Ugh, writers block is the worst! Yes, I do! I wanted to adopt and have at least one of my own so I could see myself in them physically. I know that when I adopt, I'll see my personality in them. You're right, it was/is a huge blow. My testosterone is high and I'm diabetic, combine the two... Like I said, it's been one hell of a year. My birthday is next month, I already bought the cake mix and icing, I'll prolly be making it myself, and I'm not giving my dad a choice, we're getting lasagna for my birthday dinner. I know he's not going to do anything for it, my brother can't, he's only 15. Maybe I'm being selfish wishing I was going to have a better birthday. I want Rise of Iron which is the next DLC for Destiny and it comes out the day after my birthday, but we don't have a One and I want to move so it's going to have to wait. Downside, we're going to be missing out on the pre-order stuff.

You would think, I've had some people who don't do anything and then they say, well I bought dinner a couple of times.... I'm like that doesn't work! It's not enough when you're using electricity, water etc. If you did more like help keep the place clean, okay cool! But nope, not even that! Haha, I guess. It's a pain in my butt, but I can't help it, I don't like seeing others in pain or without help.
It's not your fault. Life happens. My dads an asshole, I've come to accept this. Not a whole lot I can do. I'm looking at moving out on my own once I'm working. Oh and back in Colorado.
Yes... I Have my close group of friends. Who I value beyond belief and who in their own ways have made me tear up just by being them and how they've supported me in this last year. Or more in some cases. They've been brilliant.
It has, somewhat. I'm not in tears every time I think about him now. I'm still... I still miss him, but I'm much better than I was almost a year ago. I'll always carry his memory in my heart, who he was or I should say who I thought he was. I'll find a better man, one who values me and not what I can do for him... Know what I mean?
Oh boy, that's putting it mildly! Yeah, it went okay. My baby brother made me breakfast, which I ended up helping with. He also made my dinner which again, I helped with.Β All in all, it was a lazy slow day but good. I spent most of it with my baby brother.
