I don't know if it's OK to leave comments like this, but I was looking at your profile, and I saw that you said you live in Walnut Creek, which is kind of cool, because I live close to Oakland.
It's also weird, because I've seen you on LJ (my user name there is vampire_envy9) all the time, and I never knew that you lived so close.

Yeah, I can definitely sympathize. Either people are older, or they're the same age, but act way younger. Which is no fun.
