You can try using the thumbshare forum to expose your art a little more too
To post thumbs in your journal (only subscribers can do it) copy the thumbnail code from the picture's page and paste it just like that into thumbshare or your journal.
To make a poll, go to that little arrow next to your username top left and go to 'update journal' then 'journal enhancements' and make a new poll.

You can find a thread and post some thumbnails of your art.
Just be warned, most people will give you crits, albeit constructive ones, but crits nontheless
Either way, it's a great way to get people to see your art and at least make some friends.
