# About me
I pursued art with a passion throughout school. Graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA Hons in Fine Art. Since coming back home i've been working like a demon to pay back a Masters that didn't quite work out & save up for a home of my own! I'm really trying to kickstart my motivation again, so hopefully i'll be much more present on DA & my facebook page www.facebook.com/RowenaJordanI… . Do like my page if you want to see more than just my work, if you want to see artists, songs, videos and speeches that inspire me. I really appreciate your support.My inspiration lies in the fictional stories and films from my childhood, among them Tim Burton and Lewis Carrol's 'Alice' books. Be it Alice escaping to a Wonderland, Bod to a graveyard (The Graveyard Book) or Peter Pan to Neverland, my work shares recurring themes of young children escaping from the harsh reality of life to bravely explore fantastical realms full of unworldly creatures. Working with such rich and exciting texts, and engaging with a young audience, is what interests me. As you've probably noticed i'm a perfectionist in my attention to detail in the work. I thus enjoy disguising the underlying morbid subtleties that can often be found in the lands of fairytale.
I aspire to be a successful in the world of art be that illustrating children's books (what i'd really love to do), continuing making gig posters for my friends, designing tattoos, selling my work. But most importantly i want to be happy in doing these things.
I'm a really friendly person, i'll make time for any of your questions or chats if there is more you'd like to know.

Based off your gallery, I wish I could be your drawing buddy. Drawing animals wearing fancy things in lush organic detail often with pen is so much fun and so little appreciated by most other artists.

I must say, I find your style of drawing not only exquisite, but clean and professional - if ever there was a book you illustrated, I'd probably buy it even if I didn't like the story itself.
I hope you don't mind, but I've decided to Watch you...though I must admit, the shallow reason that finally made me decide to was that you're reading the Uses of Enchantment - I'd thought I was the only other person on the planet who liked it!
