Thanks ^^ My birthday was great. Had a LAN party with a few friends, and more then that just had a great time overall.

And thank you for being a watcher for over two years even though I haven't really done anything. I've mostly been on tumblr, youtube and my writing forum. It means a great deal that you'd stick around even when I don't.

Oh, you do Portal artwork? Nice! Though I suppose I should have looked at more then just pages 1, 8, & 9 of your gallery earlier when I was trying to determine who you were.

Also, upon looking back, it occurs to me that you're the artist that drew Sphere of Influence. I remember reading your comics a couple years ago, back when there was only 7 pages. I wanted to read it again earlier this year, but by then I'd forgotten who made the comic, or what it was called. You should really post more of that, it's been over a year since the last page.

Commissions, eh? Well we all need to make some money on the side. I'd comment on the effectiveness of doing something like that on DevianART of all places, there's a great community here, but not a lot of us have money to spend.

Then again I'm a writer, the closest thing people with my talent get to a commission is people asking us to continue working on things we've already done. I'm not complaining, this is just an observation I've happened upon.

So just say I were to commission you, when you've got the free time of course, to draw me up some fully-coloured, digital style cover art for a story of mine. What price range would I be looking at?

Yeah, I can imagine that it is difficult to earn money with written commissions, especially here on DA. Have you looked out for sites or group that specialize on written art? It might be easier to find commissioners there.

My Commission prices depend on the content you want me to draw, so for a cover it might be a full body or a half body commission. Here's my pricelist:

Well after taking a look at your prices, and the accompanying example images that go along with them. I'd either go with full body or background, I wouldn't go with half-body because I've never really been a big fan of close-ups. A close up on a person or character doesn't give enough information on what's happening in the image, all I can gather from stuff like that is the person's expression, and maybe the pose they chose to make at the time?

Whatever, you get what I'm saying. Really, I'm just considering giving you 30 bucks Canadian and give you artistic freedom to try and capture the essence of my prose. It would require you to read it, and I'm always on the prowl for new readers. XP

Well I'm just a big member in the Portal community is the main thing, Chell IS a badass though, on this we can agree. Valve has the unique ability to write strong, believably badass women that aren't also made of sex appeal. It's rare in the video game industry to get the first without the second.

Yes! That, all the that! I'm getting so tired of all the horrible and objectified women in gaming, it's so nice to have an actual normal human being who happens to have boobs in a game, and especially as a playable character.

Talking about game companies and games that write their women likes humans, have you played the Last of Us?
