We don't have many rules, and we have tried to be as flexible as possible, but the few we have made we'd appreciate if you could follow perfectly.

Same here. ^^ I found out the game isn't in production any more, and is selling for stupid amounts on eBay! 
Discussions have taken place with ~TheVampireNeko over learning Japanese with out without the use of Kana. We've come to the conclusion Japanese becomes a lot easier if you can master at least Hiragana.
There are kana guides provided under the I Love Japanese Lessons group folder, and this is a website I'd recommend trying out.
For even more help with Kana I'd advise visiting this website: [link] and investing in their Japanese from Zero book series.
In each chapter of book 1 you learn 5 more Hiragana. Katakana for book 2, and Kanji in books 3, 4 and 5.
My experience with Japanese has improved immensely once I mastered hiragana.
I'm not kidding.
Didn't take me long either. I taught my self 5 a day, excluding the weekends. Those were my days off to allow the knowledge to sink in, and I'd test myself daily, and a major test once a week.
There are even short cuts to learning Hiragana.
Ah, I'm rambling, and knowing my luck you already know kana, it's just my stupidity telling me you may not. I do apologise.
If you can't tell, Japanese is my passion. I look forward to learning new Japanese things.
And even though my knowledge isn't that amazing, and in many respects, I am still a beginner, what I do know I practise as often as possible, and can't wait to share it with everyone. xDDD
