# About me
I make things to look at & listen to - … mostly.Lately the two have been colliding into watching moving things while listening to "assemblage acid bad trip glitch house" tracks engineered, recorded and live mixed with mac Applications which probably never existed for the purposes I have for them. So there's still a lot of making things to listen to, but these bits are always attached to LP/EP cover designs. After gigging regularly in the SF area for years - I just moved and adjusted things to manage time better by making things to look at while making things to listen to … sometimes simultaneously … often mixed completely live. My habits of series work have shifted with technology and at times feel discordant. Luckily I have a near 3 year old daughter who I make things with … to look at and to hold - sometimes to listen to, but the liberation of a Crayola Crayon or Colored Pencil is MAGNIFICENT!!!
Education:
After being an assistant to MacArthur Fellow, Dr. Amalia Mesa-Bains thru college (which came at the heals of studying the material and content presented in courses by conceptualist, Charles Gaines at Fresno State - not the more PROFOUND position he held at CAL ARTS, unfortunately). It was too much to remain at that school and in the culture-repellant town of Fresno. My band started to get regular gigs and an unusual supportive circle under the commonality of Starcleaners (now starcleaner records) and Rodent Records @ Global American Studios (now LightRail Studios at Toland place in SF). So we packed up and moved … not to the city, but to the shiny used old fort ord CSU Montery Bay cause my girlfriend and I were ready to move forward … and she had a 13 month old girl when we met.
20 years later & we are all still making stuff to look at.
Even the 3 year old.
