I was just looking at your page and you sure do have alot of neat interests ^^ I can't say I like the Xbox 360 (yet) since I grew up with Nintendo and Sony but I definately love PC games AND Dragons. And if you're into the Chinese Zodiac I'm also a dragon (gotta love being stubborn and arrogant eh?) I was going nuts over The Legend of Spyro games for the longest time and can't wait to play the 3rd game in the trilogy (YAY for flying!).
I watched Dragonheart when I was younger (hope I'm thinking of the same movie you mentioned) and cried during a certain part I'm not into Halo or Bioshock but I at least wanted to give Bioshock a try after seeing some of it's features. Oblivion and other MMO-like single player RPG's are the freaking best! I love 'em! I don't really want to get into the videogame 'industry' but I do want to make games as a hobby. I already have plans to work on my own for the next who-knows-how-many years lol. I don't know why I felt the need to say all this really, I'm probably just lonely on this site XD My only RL friend is and I don't get along with many other people around here because the only thing on their minds is sex, money, and clubbing :/

Hey!
Well, you're the first to comment regarding my interests... ever There's nothing wrong with Nintendo at all. If it weren't for Nintendo, a vast majority of the video games around today wouldn't have existed. PC games are epic, as you can add to them all the time and they always seem so much more in-depth then consoles. And as for Dragons... well, I could write you an essay on why I'm so Dragon-obsessed I'll spare you the pain of my ranting and raving though. It would seem a shame to send you running for your life so soon!
I love the Spyro games, old and new. I can't wait for the Spyro movie, either. I'm hoping it'll be as epic win as they make it out to be. Heh, I was so glad they finally incorporated propper flying into a game in which the main character has wings!
I've watched Dragonheart recently, and I remember watching it when I was younger and I used to cry every time it was at a 'certain bit'. Bioshock is an impressive game, especially since it toys with your head, not just your nerves. It's sheer genius, in my opinion. I just like Halo for a few minor reasons. The storyline and characters are good, though the best bit is the multiplayer daftness. People take it all so seriously! I've recently got Oblivion and can't wait to play it after watching it played. RPGs are my all-time favourite type of game!
I thought I wanted to get into the game industry, but recently I've had a change of mind. I'd sort of prefer an art job, and whether it's concept art for the games industry or art for something else entirely, I don't mind. I just want a creative future
You want to work on your own? Well, I guess some people work best that way though I'd like to work some place with a nice community of people ^.=.^ Good that you're planning ahead though. I don't know where I'm going. If you want to make games as a hobby though, go for it. So long as you enjoy it and it's what you want to do, go for it
Lonely? On DeviantArt? I understand where you're coming from, though I think perhaps you just need to meet a few more people on here and experience the other end of the DA Spectrum Money, clubbing and sex? Welcome to the human race! There are many out there, though, who have a lot more on their minds. I'm the type to have too much on my mind at once, hence my random swings of mood and sleepless nights.
Well, I'll stop writing now before I find myself dragging you into an essay. I don't mind that you wrote all that. I've enjoyed reading and replying! I don't really get very many comments that allow discussion so thanks for talking. Hopefully Ive curbed your lonliness slightly during my speech, heheh.

I have a BIG smile on my face lol. I love long replies and it wouldn't bother me one bit if you wrote a whole book as your reply
I completely agree about Nintendo, and about the epicness of PC games. It was the depth in PC games that got me into them in the first place. The other reason is the art in some of them. I'm a sucker for fantasy-themed art styles It's something I like from the old Infinity Engine RPG's. So why do you like Dragons so much? I'd love to know! Also, what RPG's have you played so far?
I started looking into Bioshock after playing some of Arx Fatalis, I was looking for something with a similar atmosphere that was also first-person. I'm probably going to try Bioshock and eventually Bioshock 2 when I have a computer that can run 'em at high settings ^^
I've been very indecisive about what I want for a career, or what I want my future to be like. I'm not interested in making one of my hobbies a career so I figured I'd do something that would allow me to help people while also making enough money to live alone or with a good friend. I really just don't know yet though... so I've been spending more of my time developing new skills, instead of playing games all the time like when I was in high school, lol. I'm teaching myself cooking, programming, sewing, drawing, psychology, and eventually I'm going to try to improve my writing skills and teach myself physics ^^ my list isn't complete yet though, I'm always looking for new things to learn that interest me. Creativity is the most important thing to me though, I like to create things
I usually have too much on my mind at once too, and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I haven't been able to sleep because of it.

Hmhm, a book as a reply would bore you, for sure. I have a habit of going off at a tangent and rambling on about nothing in particular.
PC games are often more in-depth than console games, and they can be added to so frequently, meaning the game keeps going ^^
I love fantasy art of any kind. I don't know why... maybe because it's a world where just about anything can happen that isn't bound by science or logic.
I like dragons so much because... Well, I'm not entirely sure. I'd say 'because they're my favourite mythical creature' but it goes beyond that. They just seem incredible. I love the shapes, types and colours that dragons can be found in, and I basically just obsess over anything related to dragons. I wuv them so.
I've played Oblivion, Two Worlds, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, etc. Lots of them, though I forget most of them. Bioshock is sweet, and I'd suggest getting it any day. I hope you don't mind jumpy bits in games!
It seems like you have a love of learning, and fro what you've put you seem to be out to obtain as much knowledge as you can! You keep going like this and your IQ is going to skyrocket. I'm sure with a brain like yours, you'll get anywhere in life you want to go. Whether it's living alone, with a friend, or otherwise, I'm sure you'll have the cash and a very well-paying job I love creative arts, much like you I'm hoping to turn it into a career but if that doesn't work, I'll just learn as much as I can and hope I find my way through life.
We both have trouble sleeping because we think too much *high fives* At least we seem to share much in common.

When I was still in school I was very different from how I am now. I just slacked off most of the time, didn't do my work and had bad grades because of it. Then I eventually dropped out of High School (And obtained my GED). I believe RPG's are the reason why I love learning so much now though. I've played games since I was 4 but I didn't start getting into RPG's until I was 13. I played simple RPG's before then but I didn't play my first "full" RPG until I was about 13. I didn't play any PC games until just last year, so my collection of RPG's was made up of only Japanese RPG's. My first one was Final Fantasy X. I'm a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series now ('cept for a few of the spinoffs).
After playing FFX I played various other RPG's for PS1 and PS2. My list goes beyond 100 now, I'm sure, lol. I only played them for their stories in the beginning, but then I started exploring their other features. Like the character development and item collection, etc. I loved building my characters into different types of fighters. I'd usually make up themes for them and then build them up from that theme. Like having one character good with ranged weapons, another with summoning, another with trickery and thieving, etc. It was really fun ^^ But nowadays so many JRPG's seem to be pretty shallow. Without much depth in them. There are still quite a few really good ones though that I look forward to playing ^^
Since alot of great RPG's are taking longer and longer to be announced and released, I decided to explore PC RPG's, and I wasn't disappointed. I still love the Final Fantasy series and a couple other JRPG series (and strategy RPG series), but now I'm starting to love PC games. My favorite genres right now for PC are TBS, RTS, and RPG. One of the reasons I got into these is because of the mods people have made for them. Replayability has become one of the things I've come to expect from games and PC games have so much of it. My current favorite series for PC is Baldur's Gate. I don't have a favorite RTS or TBS game yet, because I'm still playing through various games of those genres and haven't made up my mind yet.
I had more to say but now I'm sort of getting lost in my thoughts and have no idea what to talk about next lol. There is something I'm curious about though, have you ever played any trading card games? Like Magic: The Gathering?

Well at school I tried to keep up with my work, though my grades were far from spectacular. I was never really putting much effort into coursework and such, unless I really enjoyed the subject. RPG's have always appealed to me because of the escapism they provide. For the few hours you play them you can be someone else in a world that's infininitely more interesting and fascinating then reality. The Japanese know how to make some truly epic RPGs and such.
What I love about RPGs is the fact that you can build your character up however you want them built. I like giving them certain skills and such, though I also like to enhance them to the point that missions and quests become simpler. It gives me a smug feeling, lol. I'm not always on a power-trip though. I love exploring, and collecting things, especially if the environment's well done.
I played Baldur's Gate for the PS2 and went to get Baldur's Gate 2 afterwards because I loved it so much It's heavily based on the Dungeons and Dragons universe and so the mechanics within it have been designed using a near flawless system. I love games that change with each time you play them. Spending £40+ on a game you can only really play through and enjoy once is a waste of cash. Spending money on a game that you can play through, then replay for different endings or paths and such is so much better value for money. Mods make PC games replayable to a degree, though unless it's a mod that adds new characters or environments (or rarely quests), they aren't really interesting to me.
Hmhm, talk about whatever you'd like, I'm enjoying this. Try to find your way out of your thoughts, heh, I get lost there too often. I used to play the Pokemon card game when I was very young, but otherwise no. I don't really play any card games at all. Lol, 'snap' is about my limit, so far as card games go.
If you could design an RPG, what would it be like?

I agree 100% about what you said about RPG's ^^ Especially about spending 40+ euros(?) on a game you only play once. I hate wasting what little money I end up with on something I can only enjoy once. I don't buy movies for that very reason lol. Do I like movies? Of course, but I'd rather see them with a friend at a theatre. I'm an 'indoors' type of person but when I have friends I usually try to get out of the house more. ^^ I'd like to go see live plays with (Jessie is her name) one of these days when we both have time. I'd even like to try my hand at doing stand-up with her in a city not too far from where her and I live. I just have so many interests.
I used to play the Pokemon TCG when I was younger too ^^ it was very simple to understand so I grasped the rules pretty quickly. I've actually thought about making a PC version of that TCG as programming practice. The rules are simple enough and I'm sure I'd get some decent experience from a project like that ^^ As for Magic: The Gathering, I'm a huuuge freaking addict of that game XD I love all of the fantasy and dark art, and the rules make the game almost rpg-like when it comes to deck creation My favorite color of magic from that game is blue. It stands for knowledge, intelligence, and deceit. Many of the cards from that color allow you to copy spells and creatures and create very clever card combos to help toy with your opponents and win games ^^ it's a blast! I've never played the game in person though, I've only played it through the Magic Online client for windows. I still play it every now and then, but it depends on whether or not I have money for new cards. Jessie thinks it's a waste of money but if I have the money to burn what's the harm? Some of the cards are only 4 cents each anyway. I'd really like to make my own offline version of the game when my programming skills are much better, I'm still new-ish. It'd be one fun game to program though ^^
What do you mean by "if you could design an RPG"? Do you mean if I had my own team to make it or if I made it by myself? If I made it myself it wouldnt be pretty unless I had help making the sprites. If I had my own team I'd have a Story that branches into different paths without focusing on "good and evil". It would have the largest world in videogame history with no single area looking the same as the last. I'd include various types of skills like alchemy, smithing, cooking, and fishing. There would be a large amount of weapon types with different styles of fighting for each weapon. Along with various attribute-enhancing skills you could obtain for the weapons by augmenting them with your smithing skills. I would want a plethora of items in the game. Various armor sets to both create and collect. Your own castle or base with plenty of NPC's to interact with, etc. I could keep going but I'll stop here for now lol, it's time for bed XD
Glad to hear you're enjoying our discussions I am too!

I only really buy movies if we're getting friends and family together and having a movie night, as that way more people can enjoy the film. It's been ages since I last boght a movie though. Renting them makes more sense. Heh, I don't get out much though there's not a lot to do in the nearby town. There's a cinema, but it's expensive and rarely showing anything decent. There's a bowling aleey but I don't always feel up to that... and there's a swimming centre but its not in the most pleasant area of town. I spend most of my time at my computer or playing games, as it's technically aiding in my career path.
Stand up? You're the comic type then? Awesome! I'd try my hand at something like that but I'm far too underconfident to perform on stage and I'm not always that funny (though I do have my frequent moments). This Magic: The Gathering game sounds epic, and quite depthy as far as card games go. Compared to the Pokemon card game it seems to involve a little more to it. To be honest I'm not too into card games though this one sounds interesting. What other spell colours are there? Are the rules pretty easy to follow or will it take years of practice? lol. I'm still learning programming, though it's more for 3D arcade-style games at the moment so I don't have the luxury of creating a wonderous rpg style ruleset or game lore. Hopefully I'll learn someday though, because creating this card game or countless other games from imaginaton is what I'd like to work towards in life. I just want to make things!
I meant if you had everything you needed to create an rpg of any kind, what would it be like? This is inclusive of time-period, genre, weapons, etc. You sound as if you're into creating similar things to what I hope to create, as I think it would be great for a game to include paths that are not simply categorised as 'good' or 'evil'. Perhaps just a mid-point or a path that balances them? A full arsenal of weapons that really pushes the limits of imagination is a must. Depending on time setting you could limit yourself to just swords and basic gun-powder/magic based guns if you set it in the past, though if you advance to the future you could have swords, technology, guns, magic and all sorts of marvellous things. A game created in which you needn't just fight your way to a higher level would also mean a wider audience appeal, as if you included more than just a combat based ranking system you coud give younger players a chance, or players who just aren't interested in combat as their only method of advancing through the game world.
Heheh, all this contemplation has made me realise that I still have assignment work to be getting on with! Nice talking, and hope you can reply soon. Sorry this repy was so late, I've been neglecting my inbox Hope all is well.

I get a nice warm feeling every time someone tells me they spend their life in front of a computer and play video games religiously ^^
Sounds like you like people with a sense of humor, I know I do, but I'm really not funny at all online. I usually seem more serious when I chat with people online.
Magic: The Gathering is only as complex as you make it. The basics are very easy to learn and when I first learned to play my first thought was "that's it? this game was supposed to be for thinkers!". That's how simple the basics are to learn. As you play the game more you start to see the RPG-like qualities of the game. I recommend trying Magic Online if you can afford it, and if you end up loving the game let me know! I'd be happy to play with you! Actually, I'd be so happy I'd crap my pants the first time you say "God I love this game!" There's nothing quite like playing a game you love with someone you find interesting ^^
I'm sorry I didn't reply soon, I was busy with alot of things and didn't have the time to think of what else I'd like to say in my reply. We just had our female dog fixed and she had to be babysat for a while. And my step mom has been throwing chores at me non-stop.
I hope things are going well with you right now with whatever it is you're doing. I need to go let the dogs outside and get ready for bed, I'll try to message you more often, whether you like it or not XD

Well I'm comforted to know I'm not the only one out there, so I think the warm feeling is relief!
People with a good sense of humour always have such a fresh outlook on life. They don't see the world as other people do. They don't take everything deadly seriously and let's face it, if they make you laugh then they're healthy to be around. When I talk to people online I adopt a formal, sometimes overly so, attitude and I try to get to know the contact before I begin allowing my personality to tarnish my responses =] I think I'm already beginning to be more relaxed and informal during this conversation, though.
Well any game that is easy to get to grips with initially sound like an entertaining activity, and at least that allows for the more complex aspects to be built upon later once the foundations are laid. I'll look into this Magic Online game as it sounds an efficient way of getting into the activity. I just need to find the time to play games, as I haven't had much in the way of chillout time these past few months. I'm confident that I would thoroughly enjoy playing it with you, as I find you equally interesting ^.=.^ And thank you for saying so, as normally people find me to be quite dull. I'm not really any good in conversations unless I have a keyboard and a mug of tea/coffee
No need to apologise at all, as I've been waylaid with chores, work and many other aspects of life that have kept me distant from the computer, nevermind DeviantArt. It was nice to hear from you again, even if I do often struggle to find something interesting to say in return. I hope your dog is recovering well, and the chores you're being bombarded with are not getting your mood down.
Heh, I'd be happy for you to message more often, just don't hate me if my responses take a while. I'm a demon for procrastination! Things are going okay for me, thanks. A few issues between my parents but nothing that they can't sort out. Hope you can reply soon.

People find you dull? I think you're the coolest person I know right now Dull people are the best kind of people! I can be as idiotic as I want around them and they never care! You seem like the type that would enjoy a game of Chess or Shougi with a friend, or someone who would enjoy reading a book under a tree in a park. I love people like you ^^ Not that I know you that well, but from what I've learned so far you seem like someone I'd love to be around everyday!
I'm pretty sure Magic Online has a free trial type of thing where you learn how to play with a few basic decks. It's been a while so I can't remember. Since you have to buy the cards you use with real money I usually go to this site [link] to find the commons and uncommons I'd like to build decks around. This is because these cards are VERY cheap, and still effective enough to keep you from losing every single game you play.
Did I ever ask you what your zodiac signs are? If not what are they? If you don't mind me asking. I like to read horoscopes ^^

Awwr, thank you, not many peple describe me as 'cool', unless they're referring to temperature. I'm really not much, and online I'm different to in real life. I can think of things to say, and things to talk about whilst in reality I struggle to think up a conversation topic. I don't mind how people act, be it idiotic or sensible. I only grow concerned if they're placing themselves or others in danger but I worry so much it's not even funny -_-'
The reading in a park under a tree sounds like me, and the type of thing I'd love to do, though I don't actually know how to play chess. I suppose it's because I've never had the time nor patients to sit down and learn. That's very nice of you to say, and I admit that you sound like the type of person I'd enjoy spending time with. You hold a conversation well, and it doesn't matter if it's an intellectual conversation or not you just seem to be fine with anything and that's great. You seem the type who'd sit talking with me under that tree in the park
As I said, I'll look into it even if I have to make the time. It sounds like the kind of card game that I would be interested in, and it would certainly be an improvement to my current knowledge of card games ('snap' is about my current level of skill). It's the buying of the cards I'm most concerned about, though if they're cheap then it shouldn't be an issue at all. I'll have to get you to recommend the best deck format for me when I start playing.
I'm a Leo, what are you? I have a horoscope display on my computer, and it updates itself daily to tell me what's what. Tis quite handy. I like reading them too, and find that most of the time they're oddly correct. Can you give me your horoscope, and maybe mine?

You're like my friend Jessie, who can't think of things to say in person, but is very active when online. She never has a problem opening up to me in person though, curz I'mma speshul boy :3 Usually I'm the one to start a topic to discuss, or the person who makes plans for things we could do. She never does, so I'm kind of forced to.
About Magic: The Gathering, I won't care if you decide to not bother with it so if you're not interested don't hesitate to say so ^^ Just chatting with you on here is enough fun for me. Oh I forgot to answer your question about what the colors of Magic are! The colors are White, Black, Blue, Red, and Green. Let me know if you want me to describe them because it "might" take a while. Watch me sum it all up in 5 sentences if you do ask, lol. I sometimes underestimate my abilities to describe things... or... something... I can explain a lot of things about the game if you have trouble with it.
I know how to play chess even though I never play it. My dad taught me when I was 11 and I've known ever since, but I don't bother playing because I feel that the game is too simple visually, and I like my eye-candy ^^ (video games) Magic makes me think of chess sometimes, but it's more fun to stare at it's playing field.
Okay, did you want me to type out the traits of our horoscopes? Is that what you meant? I'm a Gemini by the way.

Hmhm, sounds like we have common ground. I can hold a conversation though I can't start one unless I get really lucky. My mind just blanks, and waits for input from the other occupant of the conversation =] I'm good for planning though.
Hmhm, I am interested in it, honestly. I would love to sit down and study it, get the hang of it and play it with you because it does sound like a compelling activity. The only problem I'm faced with is finding the time to do so. I get snippets of free time that I use to do my art, in most cases. Otherwise I'm usually too tired to move, so hopefully you understand why it may be a little while before I get into the game ^.=.^'
I'd like to see a description of the meaning behind the colours of magic (insert Terry Pratchett quip here), and I know I could probably find out online but I prefer a living source of information =3 Heh, you can be my help guide for when I get stuck
I never had the luxury of being able to sit down and have it all explained. Chess seems interesting, if not slightly geeky (but I'm up for geeky fun anyway. I play Dungeons and Dragons X), though I would probably not fare so well. Video games hold more of an appeal for me, probably for the same reasons as you
Gemini? Sweet What's your most recent horoscope then, and mine if you can find it? Traits or whatever you feel would be interesting

Yeah I have 2 dogs that I'm allergic to lol. My house has an upstairs and a downstairs, and I stay upstairs most of the time while the dogs stay downstairs. One of the dogs is a boy named Boone while the other is a girl, Ginger.
In December I ended up having to sleep downstairs because Ginger went in heat and kept tearing her little diaper off, so I stayed down there to keep an eye on her. My stepmom would've done it but her back is so bad she couldn't sleep downstairs (had to sleep in a rocking chair). Anyway since my allergies are so bad, and also since I have asthma, I ended up going to the hospital for a week because my breathing got so bad I ended up having an asthma attack and stopped breathing when I finally got to the hospital, it was so scary x_x Now my stepmom goes down there because she doesn't want anything bad to happen to me, it's her dogs after all and she doesn't want to get rid of them. We're supposed to be getting Ginger fixed soon though.
I love those two dumb-dumbs to death regardless XD Boone is the best, he talks to you when he wants something lol

D: Oh that stinks! I'm sorry you're allegic to them too Oh and espeically with hearing about the hospital incident! But I'm glad you're alright now though
Yeah xD When an animal isn't fixed, the animal causes lots of problems! Like un-fixed male dogs and cats pee everywhere to mark their territory DX
That's good! ^_^ Oh that's funny My cat doesn't stop meowing until I give her what she wants too So demanding xD
