To answer your question about mounting, this is going to sound a little bit complicated, but the first time I did it I bought aluminum rods from Home Depot and tapped them myself so that they would have a 10-24 thread and it allows me to use a particular kind of screw that is half machine screw on one end and wood screw on the other. Since those first ones, I've paid for them to be made in bulk for myself from a local machine parts maker. Goodluck!
