Hi Chris!

Please, forgive me for disappearing like that! I had some troblesome months, I honestly practically never logged in and stayed just on Istagram (miss you there!) and Facebook, that I use mostly to keep contacts with some friends. 

I also had an accident about 2 months ago. A car cut me off. I don't know how I avoided it but the whiplash was unavoidable and it left me with lots of problems, to neck and shoulder (it still does). I hope things will start to go better, it's a bit frustrating ^^'

Thank you very much my dear friend, with all my heart! v You have no idea I many times I told myself "I have to open DA and write a message to Chris" (and a few others)! But at home I honestly almost never touched the computer (the mobile App is orrible, often I write messages and find they disappears, that's why I stopped using it).

How are you Chris? I hope you're doing well!
I know I write it every time, but I'll try to be more active. I miss bot you and your art!

it has been a very long time thats a fact, you don't have to appologise to me for anything having a car accident brings life into perspective in a big way, and you never have to ask me for forgiviness i really do hope that you are on the way to getting everything sorted out its not good to suffer long term at all

the mobile app has its dissadvantages thats a fact, i find it trial and error in most cases, i can also understand the "not wanting to touch the computer" there are many times when i say to myself, enough is enough of hitting "the like button" i have contenplated calling it a day as far as social media is concerened (i'm getting too old)

i was out of photography for the first three months this year because of my shoulder operation, ive taken a variety of pictures so far this year, but the portrait ones seem to have died a death, stuff happens i guess, so i'm trying to concentrate on abstracts ut i'm finding it harder. i have thought about stopping taking pictures altogether to be honest with you

Hello Chris!

First of all please forgive me if you can for this in truth unforgivable late reply, I'm truly deeply sorry.

As a matter of fact I find it still quite hard following DA, and not just it, maybe I'm getting old too, or maybe I just need to wait till I'll feel different from now.

I hope your shoulder operation solved your physical problems.
I truly hope you'll never stop taking pictures, not just for us who love your works, but for you above all, 'cause the spirit of the true artist is you, I can see it, and an artist usually can't stay too long away from his art, it's almost a physical need. He can take a hiatus, even for years, but inside he'll never cease to be what he is.
In any case do as you feel it's better for yourself, that's the important.

I'm trying to slowly going back to my drawings. I need to train my hand again, my skills have diminished and it's quite frustrating. The ache due to neck and shoulders doesn't help (and you surely understand since you've been operated), but with patience...

Let's also say the year didn't start so well. Due to the spread of the new virus (my region, Veneto, is one of those with more cases) here it's quite a delirium and honestly it's not so easy from a psychological point of view. Let's hope things won't grow much worse.

I hope your country won't have to face a similar situation. In any case, please take care of yourself and be careful.

Sonia theres no need to appologise for anything, i think we all change and our outlook changes too ... DA isnt the force it use to be and that also affects how we all relate to it through our art (well thats what i think anyway)

Its been a whole year since my shoulder was operated on so i'm back in full swing these days, as for continuing to take pictures i really don't think i'll stop but even i have those days when i think i might not pick up the camera again in the end i just take pictures of what i like, as i always have done

Well i think you need to get back to drawing ... i know its quite frustrating when it doesnt seem as free and easy as it was before an injury but hopefully you'll get there

Oh yes what a year so far for you there  with the virus in full swing, i hope you manage to stay safe and virus free, its not too bad here but like most things its starting slow and they don't think the full extent of it will be until about mid April, so we have everything crossed here

ahhhh yes Friday is coming take care please and have a wonderful weekened

Honestly I didn't truly think you'd have stopped taking pictures. I think that taking pictures of what you like when you feel it is the right way.
I think all artists find days when they feel like not taking their camera/brushes/pencils/musical instruments, whatever their love is; but it's normal and understandable.

I'll do my best to stay away from all of this. The greatest problem resides in those who don't understand it's a true emergency and behave in irresponsible ways (as going everywhere, worst of all hospitals, and meeting people knowing they could be infected without saying anything and without precautions, that's how it's spreading here).
I can't but hope. I hope other countries are learning the lesson from China and Italy and be able to contain the spreading.

yes indeed, but right now it rests in it's bag upstairs ....

it does appear to be getting out of hand in Italy thats a fact, here we have 163 known cases which isnt too bad when you compare it to other countries, you are right of course some people just arent taking it serious at all and thats what makes it worse and suddenly it starts to get out of control

Yes, here the situation is not soo good. Unfortunately the first cases were discovered late. We'll see. Can't do nothing but being careful.
