Yes - its my birthday today. It was a scorching hot 
I had a fabulous pseudo birthday yesturday when my family (minus one daughter who was working) went hiking with me to Godley head and took me to a coffee shop, and let me buy stuff at the Himilayan store in Lyttleton. And then the whole family gave me surprise gifties. Due to existence being transient, yesturday is gone. Just another example of impermanence. And yet - today I had another brilliant moment of birthday-ness. I had an hour of serene reflection and got to read birthday wishes on DA. Yeah!!

You don't have to answer, but what does one do when feeling extremely existential? I'm questioning the meaning of life again, and I want to find a meaning. But the questions keep coming

Hi - sorry I didn't respond right away - I somehow thought this was a journal entry and I didn't want to be too pestery.
That existential feeling is quite discomforting, generally, because we want to feel secure in surroundings we know and can grasp. But, its truly beautiful, in fact. Wanting to know the meaning of your life is an impulse of our essence, our inner divinity, the one, the everything, real love. So the existential feeling is the beginning of a journey to inner peace, to truth. Something beyond the chattery mind. I'm reading a book just now called Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle that someone recently recommended. I got it from the library. It says what would take me some time to explain. Just a suggestion.
