Ah, you got Lady Gaga. You're free from the evils of the Sparkle-fairies, and instead get the release of mainstream wailing into a microphone. =3 (If you get this after April 1st, then just look up what happened. Don't want to confuse you too badly in case the timing is wrong.)

Aww, shame that you missed it. It was incredibly weird, logging on the check journals, alerts, ect, and thinking it's all Twitards until you see the username. I had Jacob (shirtless of course) jumping and turning into a wolf. If there wasn't scrolling text saying something like "TEAM JACOB <3 <3" it would've been pretty cool as an icon. But I'd never use it in public, being an Anti and all. I'm just glad to be back to Mithos =3

There was something labeled "Team Seeker", but no one really knew what it was. Apparently it's some obscure TV show, and I only saw one person who commented an answer to that. Much better prank than other sites' "We're having to close this site for good," and better than the Mudkipz last year.

Yeah, I'm sorry that I haven't talked to you in a while.
I've been in the school musical, and from January to the beginning of March I've stayed after school a lot- even though it's finally done and over with for about...two weeks now. (But all that hard work paid off...even I was just in the chorus, I'm glad the musical this year was better than last year's ). I've spent all time since then...sleeping. xD
By the way, how far are you in Tales of the Abyss? Last time I checked, you were searching for Ion and Hatalia in the Oracle Headquarters, right?

Don't worry, it's fine. I've spent my own unfair share of time not responding to you. I was just wondering if something was up.
That's pretty cool to be in a school play. I never join them because mine are all musicals (I hate singing in public with a passion) and you can't get in unless you're a teacher's favorite for sports or something. That's cool that you got in.
Yeah, we haven't gotten too far past that point, but things are tying together right now. (My friend I'm playing with has a boyfriend now, so she's trying to balance it out so he doesn't get jealous, no matter how hilarious that would be.) Right now we're intentionally destorying Sephiroths to lower the Outer Lands into the Qliphoth. We've finally figured out why Guy is afraid of girls and that Natalia isn't a princess (which is good because the romance would have been horrible if she were Asch's cousin). We got Mieu Wings, and I think that's as far as we got before we went to sleep. We think we've plotted out the whole game using all the hints and patterns with other Team Symphonia games (one that's irrelavent to the plot but still pretty cool is that Lloyd, Luke, and Yuri are all left-handed males). A few that we're positive on are that Ion and Sync are clones from an original Ion, Largo is Natalia's real father, and Ion's going to die.
In the mean time, I've got about 13 other video game completion projects running, not including second-and-more playthroughs. Finally got ahold of Xenosaga and have almost finished the first game, and have the second game for after I finish (gonna look for the third when I buy Pokemon Pearl). The game is awesome. My favorite characters so far are probably KOS-MOS, Jr. (he's so adorable, and the voice probably helps with that), and...I think his name's Albedo. He's the one that ripped off his arm and head to prove he could regenerate. It doesn't always play like a video game and there are long periods of walking from cutscene to cutscene, so I'll forget it's an actual video game at points and wonder where the random boss came from. Currently in the game, I'm working to get MOMO's soul back. Thanks so much for reccomending the game! It's awesome!

For some reason, I never could figure out how to get the Mieu Wings O.o That's awesome that you got them. I think Yuri's actually ambydexterous...(I can't spell that word!) but he mostly uses his left hand. I think the whole left-handed thing is more significant in TotA, though... mostly because it's one of the things that seperates Luke from being different to Asch. There are so many plot twists in TotA...
I'm so happy you finally got Xenosaga!! XD I Jr too...you know both he and Mithos have the same VA? (That's one of the reasons why I instantly liked him). Yeah, Albedo's the one that ripped off his arm and head in front of MOMO...you know, that scene completely freaked me out when I first saw it...I was terrified of Albedo for a while...but God, he's an amazing villian. I love Crispin Freeman even more because he's so terrific at his role of Albedo. It sounds like you're in the Song of Nephilim- that's probably the hardest point i the game, but it means after that, you just have to go through one more dungeon in the game, and you're done. Not a lot of people like XenosagaII, mostly because of the battle system and the fact that they have a few new VAs... but I love all three games to be honest. I'm so happy you're enjoying the game!

It was in the mini-dungeon right after the Sephiroth with all the tuning forks. We had to use Mieu Attack on a cracked wall. Completely accidental, but it's awesome. Sometimes when you use it, Mieu yells "Wheeeeeeeee!" But Lloyd and Yuri are a similar case. They use their right hands, but they're left-hand dominant. For ToV, I'm going off of the clips I've seen and the manga, but Yuri almost always uses his left hand. Lloyd uses his left for Demon Fang, blocking, ect. Luke was pretty obvious.
That was one of the things I liked about Jr. I was watching the scene where he first came in and he was speaking poetry. It was kind of confusing. But his character model's adorable and he's awesome. I first saw the Albedo scene while IMing a friend. I was filling them in on what was going on and that it sounded like Crispan Freeman. I could see that they had to edit the scene in a few places, such as where he was ripping his arm off. I looked it up and he was supposed to use a knife, and they didn't want an M rating. But okay, yeah. I couldn't remember the exact place. I'm playing Ocarina of Time right now and I kept thinking that "Song" was wrong, and I wasn't sure if it was Nephilim or Nebilim. I heard about the second episode hate, but apparently the third makes up for it. I should have been done with the game by now, but I'm waaaaaaay underlevelled. I think I have Jr. and KOS-MOS at level 20, and Shion's at 19. According to guides, I should be about twice that. That would explain why I have trouble with some bosses. >.< I have yet to memorize the complete voice cast (though I've picked out several I know, like Jade's VA being Captain Matthews on the Elsa), because if I do that and recognize the VA, I'd probably be spoilered. Almost happened with Abyss; I was looking up a Mystic Arte video to try and hear Anise yell "I'll kill you bastards!" in one of hers, but when I skimmed through I heard a very obvious Tara Platt for a character I hadn't seen. After playing though more of the game it looks like TotA's Abyssion is the clone or original Professor Nebilim, so it's possible that's who it is. But I don't know, I haven't made it that far yet.

Yuri pretty much only uses his left hand. He can wield axes too- but he looks so much better with swords. I can't believe I never noticed Lloyd using his left hand for guarding and his famous "Demon Fang!"...I guess it's because I never paid much attention to the whole "left hand", "left hand" thing until TotA.
In the whole Albedo scene, it was really obvious that they editted that scene. They edited all three games, but it's more noticable in the first and third games. The third game is...amazing. It has the best graphics, best VA (in my opinion), best battle system, bets music, just...almost everything in the third game was perfect. ...Yeah. You really are underleveled- how are their levels so low?

Currently on my 16th playthrough. I was bound to notice it eventually. I started watching the figure motions instead of the battle itself for art references. Lloyd's was the least obvious because he dual-wields, and his Exsphere being on his left hand is worthless because Kratos's is too.
I hear the third game was stripped of almost every spot of blood. That's really disappointing to me. It's rare that I can find a game I'm allowed to play that has blood in it (despite being 17, my mom acts like I'm 13). But I'll play it either way. It's a really good series, and I normally like Namco. But this isn't my only under-levelled game by far. In Pokemon Diamond, my highest level Pokemon was the same level as the Elite Four's lowest, and my lowest was 15 levels lower than that. And I never lost a match in the whole game. I'm such a strategist when it comes to nerd things that I don't need to level up and often escape battles in turn-based games. I enjoy real-time battles so I don't always run, but of I get sich of a bunch of random encounters I'll run or use a Holy Bottle/Repel/whatever the game uses.
I also picked up new games. I went to pick up my Pokemon Platinum reservation and looked for Xenosaga 3 in used. Didn't find that, but picked up Tales of Legendia. So I started playing that and am really twitching when I hear something I recognize. Have you played that one? Jeez, it pretty much has a gentler-voiced Kratos saying Raine's lines at times. And the offspring of Wonder ChefxColette. Awesome game.

It was so annoying that they got rid of all the blood in Episode III. I mean, they had blood in the first two games, so why did they have to get rid of blood in the third game? Xenosaga is probably one of the most underrated series I've ever played- it's a real shame, since I consider the series WAAAAY better than Kingdom Hearts. (Axel and Roxas are the only parts about that series I like). I got Platinum version not too long ago, but I haven't played much yet- I need to trade some of my pokemon in Diamond in Platinum, first...like a Leafeon and a Vaporeon.
OMG. Tales of Legendia has the most gorgeous music ever in a Tales game. The battle system is awful (so is Shirley's voice- curse you Carrie Savage!) but the characters are all so amazing. The character development is one of the best parts about that game. Will really is the weirdest mix of a Kratos and a Raine. O.o He has Kratos' smexy voice and his calm demeanor... and Raine's love for archaelogy (sort of) Mimi Baker the offspring of WonderChefxColette? XD ...Let's see, other VAs from other Tales games...we of course have Cam Clarke, Shiloh Strong, Kari Wahlgren, Tara Strong, Heather Halley, Jennifer Hale...Kim Strauss is in there too (he played Yuan in ToSotNW). ...And I think Yuri Lowenthal and Terrence Stone only play additional voices...God, I love them all XD

If there was signifigantly more blood than in the other games, it's possible it pushed the limits. ESRB is the official ratings group, but some others had rated the series as M as it was. Too bad, because the Americanized edits are obvious and they often ruin the scenes. It's still an awesome series. FF and KH are good, but really only good for one or two playthroughs. I was going to try and play more, but my sister's using the PS2.
Yeah, there've been times I've zoned out of everything while playing that game, including the game itself. I start listening to the music itself trying to hear it better. There are some that are almost at major boss battle levels that are used during conversation. MIDIs are great for a game feel, but orchestrated music reaches so many levels of epic when done right.
The Tales series has a lot of character development. Fits for a lot of good JRPGs, but it's amazing. It was raelly weird when Will's daughter came out of nowhere and yelled at him. It sounds like of lot of ToS Kratos's daughter Mary Sues I've seen. It almost perfectly fits one I'm doing an MST3k of. (The Storm series on ff.net; they're really bad.) Will sits back while the little girl starts yelling, "I hate you, you're a criminal, you weren't there when mom died!" Shirley really annoys me and I'm dreading when she joins the party (though I looked up at what level and I have some time before, thankfully). I like playing the game and picking out the voices. Though I listen to voices too often and when I'm playing a different game or watching anime I hear other voices and picture them to the other roles. Like whenever I watch Code Geass, I'll recognize Suzaku as Luke/Asch. Same goes for nearly any role by Johnny Yong Bosch or Vic Mignona.

I know there was one scene in XSIII (I won't spoil too much) where a little girl witnesses her mother die. In the Americanized version, she's saying "I have to put it back..." and it looks like she's holding something...only she's not. :/ In the uncut version, she's holding blood- because the blood was cut, everyone who played the game was like- "Put WHAT back?! She's not holding anything!"
Harriet's kind of....there throughout most of the game. ...Wow, I really am the only one who doesn't mind Shirley O.o Shirley's barely even in your party throughout half of the game... there's two parts of the game- the main quest and the character quests (which are about each of the PCs' past and how each resolve the horrible tragedies in their past). For some reason in the character quests, there's no voices... I don't know why, but I think it's pretty annoying.

I'm here. Not ignoring you. Just busy. Little sister stole the PS2, so I've been caught up in addicting online games. -_- You tell yourself, "Just one more quest," and when the quest is over you're almost at your next level. So you reach the next level and have alraedy started another quest. Then you look at the clock and its 4:00 am. So when you wake up at 6:00 am, the first thing you do is play the game, stay up 'til 6:00 or later, and four days later sleep a lot. Or it's just me. But that pretty much sums up how I've spent most of my time.
That sounds more confusing than when the graphics aren't good enough to put something there. You'd need an online article to find that out. Some things I can understand taking out to keep a rating I guess, like someone graphically blowing their brains against a wall. But if they removed all the blood...that seems a bit too much. Ah well, I'm not to that game yet, so I'll worry about it when I get there.
Harriet annoys me a lot. So far she hasn't really been doing anything other than "omg ur mah DADDEH! oh btw i hate ur guts!" But as long as she's out of the way I don't mind. I guess I won't hate her so much later on. Shirley's voice is too high pitched and hurts my ears a lot. And she's too much of a happy self-sacrificing person, but a more annoying attitude than Colette. She's dragging Fenimore to be with the party even though she's terrified of Orerines and people don't change that quickly. But I've been through stuff like that so it's a personal grudge rather than hating her character.
...
It always weird when the audio is taken out. When I go from a Tales game where skits are voiced to one that's not, I get confused. Or just scenes/quests in general. They may have spent too much budget on voicing the skits and scenes to be able to do the character quests. It sucks when important scenes lack voices, because it'd help the emotion so much more.
Have you heard about the PS3 ToV? They're doing what they did with ToS, only more dramatic. Like the PS2 ToS, they're voicing more, changing a few graphics, maybe adding more movement and whatnot to the skit faces. But they're keeping the opening song and are adding a whole new character. No one knows if it'll be in America. Same goes for the ToV movie coming out in Winter. Some fans are already promising subs for both if they aren't released.

It's okay- my dad's computer is kind of dead again, so I have to use the library YET AGAIN. To view numerous sites...but that means I can't upload anything on dA or makes super-special-awesome AMVs/GMVs and upload them on youtube.
Shirley's voice is practically the main reason why everyone dislikes her. The big difference between Shirley and Colette is that Colette is completely selfless. Shirley can get kind of selfish sometimes (a good example of this would be at one point near the end of th emain quest). What part are you on in the game? I think one of the biggest troubloes i have in the game is that you need a certain amount of apecific eres in order for your mages to learn new spells......
OMFG. Yeah, I heard about it too. They're really gonna do a lot of crap with the PS3 version- like a new PC (I think her name's Patty), Flynn as a playable character (I'm guessing it's kind of going to be like Asch in TotA), new subplots, new artes, new songs, new dungeons- ARG. It's also supposed to tie-in with the Tales of Vesperia movie.
The movie is supposed to be a prequel...but I'd rather have a sequel because I didn't find the ending of the game as satisfying as TotA or ToS (ToS had one of the best Tales endings I've seen). So they defeated the bad guy (I won't spoil too much), Yuri and the others quickly destroy the threat to Terca Lumireis, and then...it ends...O.o Nothing that shows what happens to the charactsr afterwards (defeating the threat really caused a drastic change in the peoples' lifestyle). How does everyone adapt to this sudden change? I must know! But it was still a happier ending than TotA.

Ah, yeah I've dealt with that. My compter crashed badly a lot because it was over 10 years old, and it never worked. The library restricts a lot so it sucked using it all the time. I solved the problem with a password block on a new computer. Good luck with getting yours running again. The AMV issue is one of the worst to deal with. (I'm a bit guiltily excited over finally getting a video editor to work on my computer, so I finally have a ToS video on there. A friend requested a song and said to put Kratos in it, and it's on YouTube. Annoying though, because the subs I got were for my Zelda vids.)
Yeah, it's hard to like a character when hearing her speak physically hurts. Colette's was annoying for a while, but not painful. The first KoR dubbed videos with Emil were more painful than Colette, and her voice suited her anyways. In that one...the last thing I remember is finding everyone to give them medals, and Jay was spying on them. I've done a little bit since then, but I can't pull it from my head. I now know where all the "STEEELLAAAA!" voice clips come from. It was pretty funny at first, but then it got annoying. The game's progressing rather quickly.
I don't remember where exactly I am in that because I switched back to Xenosaga as my PS2 game for a while. I'm at the final boss. I've been there for almost a week because of my level. After a lot of levelling, turns out I'm still too low. It just got annoying so I'm taking a break off of it to focus on a different game. But the background's great for the second part of it. Looks like rainbow Derris-Kharlan.
[link] <- This article covers a bunch about the new ToV, ToG, and ToVS. VS is still confusing because Namco isn't releasing a lot but we know the basic point. ToG's main character has been debated over possibly dethroning Yggdrasill at being the Tales disco king, but he reminds me more of Suzaku in Code Geass (including some of the bio). Patty in ToV strikes me as a Mary Sue right off the back. Even a few points in the design. It just bugs me, but sadly I'll never play it because I'll never get a PS3, and it probably won't even be released outside of Japan like most remakes.
The ToV movie apparently focuses on Yuri and Flynn. It includes the other characters, but I dont know much about it. [link] <- Screenshots, including one of a puppy Repede.
That's a depressing bit of information about ToV. ToS covered the ending, and I hear TotA tells a lot. There will probably be more later, whether through the manga or if they make an OVA/anime. Going off of the previous two games that team made, you'd think they'd clear it up. Well, it was supposed to be the best in the entire series, so I guess that couldn't bring it down too much. It's just more of an inconvenience.

My mom's mac actually, literally DIED months ago, but she's yet to buy a new computer. T.T Which bothers me because my dad's pc pisses me off sometimes.
I actually thought Colette's voice was kind of cute. Emil himself is a pretty painful character to watch- because he has a weak personality, and he stole Colette's catchphrase ("I'm sorry.")It's actually been a really long time since I last played ToL, because there are so many other games I need to play (like the .hack// games my friend wants me to play). Senel's "STEELLAAAA!" is one of his best lines ever. xD ToL does progress quickly, but it's still...so...long...It's a very time-consuming game. O.o
The final battle's pretty fun. I love the music at the final battle- do you happen to have Erde Kaiser? I never did the annoying side-quests to get Erde Kaiser, but the final battle should be easier with Erde Kaiser. (Although you're probably too far in the game now to go back and do the Erde Kaiser quest...) I guess you could also "cheat" and watch the end of the game on youtube...PitylessEnvy on youtube has every single clip of all three Xenosaga games.
Waaaah, I'm annoyed they included a new character in the PS3 version of ToV. That practically screws up the whole plot. O.o Great, another kid character- it's Genis and Presea all over again- except Karol sure as hell is no Presea since he's hiss own person, but this Patty girl seems really peppy and cheerful. (Could be wrong). I wish they released some of the remakes of the Tales games in the US- like I'd love to play any of the remakes of ToD or ToP. ...ToH looks really cool- I wish it would come out in the US, but it won't. I hope ToG comes to the US- it should, since practically all the Tales games on home console comes to the US (except for ToR. D: )
...Yuri looks so weird in his knight getup...what happened to his strapping black outfit? Looks like Raven, Estelle, and Rita make cameo appearances. I love all the main characters in ToV, they're all so cool. (ToV isn't nearly as depressing as TotA).
TotA's ending is the kind that kind of makes you sad, but it's also kind of fulfilling at the same time- I know you haven't completed the game, but have you watched the ending on youtube? (I just want to make sure so I won't spoil anything).

Ugh, that really sucks. Good luck on getting a new computer. I'll be wishing for mine to run consitistantly, and for you to be able to get a working one.
Colette's voice really suited her: cheerful, perky, kind of annoying, pretty cute. Emil was disappointing. I play TotA, and Guy has the voice. My friends want me to watch Bleach, but there's Ichigo. I love watching Code Geass, but there's Lelouch, and they're all the exact same voice. At least it's not always using the high-pitched whiny one. I've been working on too many games/anime and have to go in cycles. I'm about to pick ToL back up, once I beat Xenosaga (I'm trying to level up, but I'm stuck in the final dungeon). Senel's Stella scream in the FMV where she dies was good. It was the other scenes where it was unintentionally hilarious. Then again, I laughed hard enough to give myself an asthma attack at the bad ending of KoR. My sense of humor is a bit twisted. ^_^;
Heh, I'm not even sure what that is. I don't look up side-quests until second playthrough, or if I have two simultaneous playthroughs. If it takes me more than another week to beat the...crab-lighthouse that summons Ratatosks and tapeworms...I don't remember the name. Sophie something, maybe. If I can't kill it, I'll look it up. I need to get the game audio. I like taking character voices from one role and syncing them to a role with the same VA. I have one that lasts a few seconds of four Lloyds teaming up on Mithos, then him shouting "YOU MOTHER- *gunshot*" and Shining Bind-ing him. I was just really bored.
Patty doesn't look all that interesting. I've seen gameplay videos, and the whole thing looks like one big joke. But I'm not buying a PS3 anyways. Patiently waiting for the cash to get my 360. Gonna get Fable, Oblivion, and ToV as priorities. Another release disappointment is the reason for European-KoR taking so long to be released. Sometimes when they come to America, they change a few things. In Abyss, there were a few Mystic Artes added (and Nebilim went from just using Big Bang to getting seven). KoR gave more attack slots. In Europe, KoR gets sorta-costumes, a skit/art gallery, more attacks, more advanced battles, and there's move coming. I'm wanting a PAL-hacking program for my Wii to get it to work so I can see just how much it changed.
...
But in other news, ToG has a good chance of a US release. It's going to be in Nintendo Power magazine, released the 12th of this month. KoR was featured, an denough people saw it and bought the magazine, so we'll probably get it. That's good, because it looks awesome. Seamless city transitions, too, more like a Zelda game without the loading. (But the main character looks like Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass half in a disco outfit. Some fans are saying he might beat Yggdrasill at disco-king title. There's enough of a force against that, thankfully.)
I've been very tempted to look up the ending to Abyss, but I haven't. Instead I've been watching the anime up to where I've played to kill time and get clips for AMVs because I had a request (TotA and the Banana Phones song, but every time it says "phone" I'm adding the audio of a character saying "fon"). But I've got the ending pretty much figured out, I think. (Just waiting for Ion to die, and if I'm lucky he'll take Mieu with him. But probably not.) The games from Team Symphonia are predictable once you figure out the patterns in the opening and the little, forgettable bits of dialouge. And I'm almost near the end if I use the anime as a reference; in the anime I'm on about episode 19 of 26. (If you haven't seen the anime, I highly reccomend it. It follows the game almost perfectly but changes enough to keep interesting. And it shows all the flashbacks! My current desktop wallpaper is a screenshot of Legretta ripped from it, because it's so awesome.)

Emil's voice was just...whimpy. But it does fit his character. To be honest, the only reason id on't watch Bleach is because it's so freaking long. O.o ToL is probably the longest Tales games I've played...since you spend 30 hours in the main quest, and 40 hours on the character quests. I think I can kidn of understand your sense of humor...like sometimes I read some crack chapters online on Naruto, and they're just so hilarious...then when I reread the chapter, I can't take it seriously, and I start cracking up.
I love Jr...he's just...awesome. xD When I first heard him speak, I was like, "OHMYGOD!! MITHOD!!! "
The only reason I'd buy a PS3 is to get Final Fantasy Versus XIII...btu since it's gonna be written by the same people who wrote Kingdom Hearts, it probbaly live up to its hype (even though a lot of people like KH, I really only like Roxas and Axel).
ToG probably will get a US release..Oh! Have you heard about Tales of VS for the PSP? It looks really awesome.
I've seen some of the TotA anime- I was impressed how close they followed the storyline. It would be amazing if they released the aniem in English...but probably not...

Hey, sorry I haven't replied in so long. Been really busy with family and nearly everything slipped my mind. Couldn't keep track of anything. But I'm out of high school now, and summer started. Trying to get back in one piece.
In the mean time, I've beaten Xenosaga 1, started on 2, beaten the main quest on Legendia, and have started on so many other games that I've lost count. I'm going to stop making trips to Gamestop for awhile, I think. But I finally figured out why I can never find Xenosaga 3. I did a bit of research, and apparently since the second game wasn't as liked, they made much less copies of the third. But people actually liked the third game, and there weren't enough copies. I've seen its prices run from $40 used to $100 unopenned. I'm gonna have to wait a bit to get it, or find the emmulator online and download it if I get a better computer before that.
Someone once told me which episodes of Bleach it was possible to skip. Apparently more than half the episodes are filler arcs that passed the time between mangas. I just forget which ones were pointless, so I haven't watched yet. But I did nothing but play Legenia for three days straight once in order to beat it. I got so sick of Shirley's voice that Colette's and Emil's were no longer painful.
...
My biggest personal problem with Legendia is probably when the characters die. Normally my favorites die at the end. With this game, as soon as they start to get interesting, they die. "Oh, Stella looks like she'd be a pretty good character. I can't wait 'til they rescue- nevermind." "I didn't like Fenimore at first, but she's getting really interesting. Maybe I'll find a favorite who doesn't- nevermind." "Walter looked like a Remiel expy not far back, but he's getting really- %@!!!" I swear, if Chloe dies, I'm going to break my TV. I just settled with a main character, so maybe I can get interested in a character without having to change.
I was glad that Jr.'s VA stayed the same in the second. He's just so cute <3. A couple of the others bugged me, but mostly MOMO. She's so valley girl-ish now, and even more Loli after the character make-overs. I liked KOS-MOS's original voice better, though they didn't do too badly with their choice. That's what I thought until I realized it was Genis. My thoughts almost immediately were, "I must not ship KOS-MOSxJr. I must not ship them I must not ship them I must not ship them..." Thankfully I have enough self-control to not.
ToG was announced officially at E3 last week. I'm pretty sure we're getting it. ToVS I really want, but even if we do get it, the highest Playstation I have is PS2. I've kept track of everything as it's being released. Have you heard what the story is? It's about people fighting over the fruit on the Yggdrasill tree. Kratos is paid to fight Luke and Yuri over Yggdrasill-fruit. Nothing weird about that. And there's some new guy that looks like a Beyblade Gary Stu. I remember his last name being "Meteoryte" or something similar.
I did a bit of thinking and realized that dubbing some of the Tales animes wouldn't be as good as everyone thinks. With all the Namdai VA issues, we wouldn't get the original voices. It's not as fun to watch the animes with different voices, in my opinion. (And it's just too funny to hear Tear squealing "KAWAII DESUNE!" in the raw version.)
Also, the Tethe'alla OVA arc for Symphonia is coming to Japan spring of next year. And the Vesperia movie goes to Japanese theaters next October 3rd. There's a bit of a wait on those, but we finally can stop guessing at when they'll come out.

I was wondering when you were gonna reply. To me, it doesn't really feel like school's ended. I don't know why. I still feel like I'm gonna have to get up at 6:00 in the morning on Monday.
Wow, you've done a real work out, haven't you? Where are you on Xenosaga II? I know a lot of people don't like the game, but to be honest, the only real problem I have with the game is the new VAs they have for Shion and KOS-MOS. Epsiode III is probably my favorite Xenosaga game...mostly because the ending of the game was so touching and so sad. One of the best videogame endings I've ever seen. I'm sorry that you can't find any copies of Episode III That must be so annoying.
Now that you've completed the main quest, you won't have to listen to Shirley's voice anymore. xD (Except for the battles). LOL, I HATE it when my favorite character dies...I remember in the first play-through of Fallout 3, my favorite character died, and I was like, "What?! No! That can't be right! I'm restarting Xbox- I must've done something wrong, James can't die!" That really bothered me.
KOS-MOS/Jr? Hmm, that's one couple I've actually never heard of xD Most of the couples I've seen in fanfiction are Shion/Allen, and Jr/Albedo(Damn crack pairings!).
Tales of Graces looks okay, I just hope it has an amazing ending. Because ToV's ending kind of disappointed me. The main quest is suppose to be 70 hours long- which reminded me of Legendia, because I remember my brother completing the game at 72 hours. I'm excited for ToVS- us Tales fans are finally getting a Dissidia-like Tales crossover XD The guy you're thinking of is Shing, the main character from Tales of Hearts for the DS. (Tales of Hearts actually looks really cool, but Tales games for the DS never come tot he US T.T)
I like that Kratos, Yuri, and Luke are gonna be in the game, but I'm not so psyched about the other cast of characters that are gonna be in the game. They'd put Anise in the game instead of Guy? Mao instead of Veigue? (from Tales of Rebirth- I'm watching the game on youtube) And why is that one muscle-man from ToD doing in the game? (I think his name is...Brusier...or something) Nobody likes him! I'd rather have Chloe or Shirley be in the game instead of that muscle-head!
The dubbing of Tales anime would be great- if we all get the original VAs from the game. Now, if they did the dub of the Tales of Symphonia anime, I wouldn't doubt that Cam Clarke would reprise his voice as Kratos since he seems to be Kratos' voice in every game he's been in (Even the ones where Kratos has a cameo appearance). And Brian Beacock would reprise as Lloyd (I have to give him credit for reprising for every appearance Lloyd has been in), and Tara Platt would be Raine. Heather Hogan would probably reprise, since she did in DotNW.
I'm glad that they made a Vesperia move and all, but I wish that they did a sequel instead of a prequel. The ending of Vesperia was, to me, very unstatisfying (unlike Symphonia's ending). I want to know what happens to everyone after the end of the game! But I guess seeing Yuri as a knight with Flynn would be interetsing (but it would also spawn more Yuri/Flynn fangirls- the horror!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one with that feeling. I'm just now starting to realize school's out, and I gradutated over a week ago. I've been solving it by not going to bed until 7 AM and waking up about noon. But I've been feeling kind of down lately. Didn't feel like doig anything. My friends have been helping me out with life, and one of them's forcing me to do every-day things. If I don't listen I get gang-hugged by everyone around, which is worse than a punch to the gut to me. I finally logged back onto my da page and am checking out all the stuff I've missed.
I lost track of how many games I beat in the past while. All I know is that it's a lot. I just picked Xenosaga back up earlier today after a run of Legendia. We're in MOMO's mind learning about Sakura and the...replicas, I guess. All those 668-odd little boys who look exactly the same. Any VA change tends to annoy me. KOS-MOS's voice was very unlike the original, but at least it still sort of suited her. chaos's probably bugs me the most, coupled with the drastic visual change. But it was the change in fighting styles that's confusing me most. I had just learned the first one. I found a strategy for it in the last boss fight. Now it's completely different. As for the third, I've got enough games to hold me over until I can find it cheaper. If all else fails I can watch it online.
That's one of the weirdest things in Legendia. Shirley joins the party after the game's over. And she fights with a pen. A lot of the game seemed like it was ripped directly from Symphonia, with a few hints of Abyss. It looked like the team wanted a bit of money and took a few plot points and character traits from the games, but they're working for the same company and it was still different so it's still good. With Shirley and that "die and become the Merines so you can hear the voice of Nerifes" ordeal, it was a lot like a Chosen becoming Martel. Except she heard the voice of the ocean. If you've ever seen YuGiOh abridged, that just reminds me of ColettexMako Tsunami.
I did a bit of research on the games and have seen articles that mention them. And there's the animation, which I saw a bit of (Funimation did an official subbing of it on their site.) ShionxAllen I've seen, and JrxAlbedo I've seen in all seriousness. (It's like AschxLuike combined with JadexDist, but without the hilarity of the latter. Replica love and childhood friendliness.) The most common yuri I've seen is ShionxKOS-MOS, but damn if the game and anime don't like to make it look like that's canon. I've also seen chaosxKOS-MOS here and there, and some Jr.xMOMO. (If they'd used Colleen O'Shaugnessay to replace MOMO instead of KOS-MOS, I'd be in serious fangirly trouble with the ship tease.)
There are a few new additions to Graces that look awesome. A new battle-style, seamless town-to-field transitions, and new attacks. I think the same people made ToS2, but it looks so much better than that. I know there was a Tales-crossover figther before, but I've only seen it once and I can't remember what it was called. It was a Japan-only release that I saw a YouTube video of, but it wasn't as well done. ToVS looks like a SSB game for Tales, complete with different character colors for each.
So far, only half of the cast has been revealed. What they have looks pretty evened out. Like how Ice Climbers and Donkey are in Brawl right with Mario and Link. I guess they wanted to spread out who was in it. There are still about 20 character slots open, I think. No Legendia characters yet, so there's hope.
Based on recent games, the first season of the Symphonia OVA would get...Colette, Kratos, Remiel, Iselia's mayor, Corinne, Presea would be in the second season, and I'm not sure about Forcystus, Pronyma, or Rodyle. No clue who all they'll show in the second season, so I can't say who'll be in. Unfortunately, Genis's voice will no longer be acceptable as "his voice cracked two years later." So Tara Sands would likely be hated on. Shame, because she's not all that bad.
Eh, I was upset with Symphonia's ending for pretty obvious reasons. But they tied it together and actually finished it, so it was good in that sense. I heard Vesperia's ending was the bad guy agreeing the party was right, after the boss fight. So different from Symphonia and Abyss. And it had such epic music for the fights. I got to play it for a few hours at a friend's house, finally. My first time playing Xbox, too. It was good, but some of it seemed a little more flat in exchange for the awesome 1070HD graphics. One thing the Tales series won't do is spoiler games with other games. In ToS2, they never mentioned what the angels were, that Kratos and Yuan were angels, and Mithos was never talked about by name because his being a villain wasa major twist. (Though it was pretty weird with Lloyd talking about, "My friend had some pretty twisted ideals, but now he's in my Exsphere." I'm sure that confused some newcomers.) If they did a sequel, it would be really vague and probably not relate as much to the game. With a prequel, they can give out minor spoilers to backstories and hook in more fans for the series.

So you graduated high school? All of the people I really admired in my school graduated. Your friends sound like they really like you a lot. ...I wish I had faith in my friends like that...have you known them for a long time? Oh, and what college were you thinking of going to? I'm going to be a Junior this fall, and that's when they start telling us to think about what college we need to go to, and I'm still wondering on what my profession should be.
I think after a while, I got use to chaos' new VA, because I thought that his VA for Episode I made him sound too young. Shion and KOS-MOS' original VAs return to the third game. But I was impressed on how so many VAs returned to the Xenosaga games (like Brianne Siddall, Crispin Freeman, Ziggy and Margulis' VA). I think I can appreciate know since I was so disappointed when only three of the original VAs from ToS returned to the sequel.
The whole Merines thing definetly sounded like Colette as her role of the Chosen. I liked Legendia, actually. Mostly because I though the characters were a lot more likable than the Abyss characters. If you think Legendia ripped from Symphonia, then you probably wouldn't like Rebirth- because the most of the game deals with racism and discrimination between two different races. (Which to me, seemed like a rip off of Symphonia, only they really get into it more than Symphonia).
I saw a little bit of the Xenosaga anime. But I thought the animation was really poor, the music was cheesy, and I thought it was too different from the game. I do like the opening though.
Jr/Albedo seems to be the most common pairing I've seen in fanfiction. I don't really like incest pairings. The pairings I like most in the series is KOS-MOS/Shion (XD), Jr/MOMO, and Shion/Allen (I didn't really think much of this couple until Episode III).
I think the crossover fighting game you're talking about is Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology- it's released in the US for the PSP. there's also Radiant Mythology 2, but it's not released in America. I think people compare ToVS to Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy's first crossover game.
Tara Sands is actually, to me, the least detestable new VA for ToS2 (I thought she was so good as Genis actually, that I didn't know that Genis had a completely different VA). Troy Baker was okay as Regal, too but I'll always love Crispin Freeman .
Vesperia was probably the first game I've played in a long time where the final boss DIDN'T die. I loved Vesperia for the Xbox, I hope they do another Tales game for the Xbox, because I really loved the graphics. ToS barely spoiled anything about ToP...I'm not sure who would play ToS2 if they haven't played ToS.

Oh man, I'm sooo sorry I haven't responded. I've been so distracted all summer and I feel terrible. I ended up with 150+ hours of anime my friend put on an external harddrive, got several new games, and have been in a terrible mood and gave up the internet for so long. I haven't checked anything in over a month life's been so hectic. I'm not ignoring you, I swear. Recently I've been trying to clear up a mistake my college made, and I haven't been put in any classes apparently, so that's being sorted out, and my parents haven't fully settled out their divorce and it's getting pretty bad. I've mostly been hiding in countless games and animes since summer started.
Well, my friends I've known the longest would be four years maximum. My best friends, the ones effectively resocializing me, I've known one year, two years, and four years. The college I'm going to is a community one, only a short walk away from where I live. I'm not able to get into anything higher right now, because we're dealing with too much. In two years I'll probably transfer to State, but I don't know right now. Going for a veterinary degree, meaning suffering eight years minimum of medical school.
I've been negleting Xenosaga too much. I need to start playing again, but I just beat Abyss literally an hour before me typing this. My friends and I had a lot of fun with the sound test. I've also been pulled into the Nasu Verse, a series of visual novels. Unfortunately, the only way to play them is having the Japanese disc, downloading it to your computer (it has a block for downloaded ROM files), and downloading the Mirror Moon fantrans file. Not to mention a lot are adult games for some...certain content that I skipped over. Fate/Stay Night has a great anime, though (and removes the nudity), with some really good VAs (though MOMO played one of the useless love interests; it was painful to hear at times with the slight change). I'm cosplaying as one of the characters from it, Servant Rider, at SacAnime in a few weeks. She's the main fanservice in the anime, though one of my guy friends is trying to crossplay as Servant Caster in exchange.
In Legendia, I've made it to...I think it was Norma's character quest. That's another one I put on hold for visual novels. I really liked it, and the plot changed enough from Symphonia's to stay interesting. The characters were pretty likeable and didn't spend countless hours emoing over everything. Though I have to say, even though I don't care about pairings, I support ChloexSenel. I don't like brother/sister pairings, even if it's adopted. They passed off as brother and sister for a while, so it's just creepy.
I agree with you on those pairings. All the KOS-MOSxShion has got to be intentional. And JrxMOMO's so cute even I can tell it is. ShionxAllen is a classic type of the guy wants the girl, but she never notices. But in this case, she's practically too gay for KOS-MOS to see Allen.
Yeah, I found out that's what it was. It was one of the mini-games. RM2 has no scheduled US release, which is sad, but I don't have a PSP anyways. Same for VS. It looks so good, but it's PSP and no news for America yet.
Genis was probably the only excusable one due to him hitting puberty. She did a pretty good job on him. Troy Baker was deeper as Yuri Lowell than as Regal, which is kind of annoying, but not terrible. And I love Tara Platt as a VA, but the voice is so unsuited for good guys. And she made Raine sound so young. She was a seriously epic win Nebilim, and was also that Servant Caster I mentioned above, in the English dubbed anime at least.
I've recently been playing Vesperia with a friend. I'm lucky one of my only friends with an Xbox 360 (and an HDTV for more win) has it. It's really good so far. I've also been tracking changes to the PS3 version. It's annoying that they did that, and no one likes Patty, but some things look great. Karol gets a Lloyd costume, Yuri as Asch, Flynn as Luke, Estelle as Tear and Chloe...and swimsuits.
Also, the Tethe'alla arc of the Symphonia OVA has an updated trailer. Came out a few days ago, and it's got several YouTube videos so far. Shows Altessa, more soulless Colette, brief shot of Regal, the Pope, brief shot of Kratos... Looks like it's following the manga, but the manga showed it better just up to the Tower. But it's entertainment for a bit, whenever they come out.

Dude, I was wondering what happened to you- but I kind of figured something was happening in your life since you haven't been online in so long. That sucks that you're parents are getting divorced I don't want to pry or anything, since I don't know if you're comfortable talking about it or not.
You're downloading visual novels? I've heard of them, but I've never actually played them myself. Do they have subs, or is it in raw Japanese?
So you beat Abyss? That's great How did you like it? Abyss is usually a favorite for every Tales fan... I don't know about you, but I was actually glad that Asch died. I really couldn't stand him. The only good thing I can say about him is his VA. XD For me, there's too many videogames that I'm currently playing, tried to play, or people have asked me to play. I'm trying to get through Final Fantasy VIII, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Gears of War 2, Drakengard, and .hack//Quarantine (which is my main priority, since the game itself actually belongs to my friend). And yesterday, I finished the first Devil May Cry game. Unfortunetly, Fallout 3 is far too addictive for me to concentrate on these games. Last summer, I spent most of it watching anime, this year, I spent most of it playing videogames.
Legendia has to be one of the longer Tales games in the series- it took my brother about 70+ hours to beat the game (30 hours for the main quest and 40 for the character quests). To me, I think Grune's character quest, the last one, is the most interesting...because we get to learn more about Grune. I love Legendia's characters- I always thought they were all so likable. They're all so...happy. Senel/Shirley is probably the most hated canon pairing I know- nobody likes Shirley.
KOS-MOS/Shion is the best lesbian couple ever XDD That one yuri couple puts the whole cast of Strawberry Panic to shame. (In almost every yaoi/yuri aniem I watch, the canon couples are always so...pathetic. The best couples are the non-canon ones XD )
I hope ToVS comes out for the US. I need more games for my PSP. All I have are Crisis Core, The Sims 2, and Star Ocean: the First Departure.
Tara Platt is an okay VA, I mean, I like her as Temari in Naruto, but I didn't like her as Raine in ToS2. But I really hated Sheena and Zelos' VA- they didn't do the characters' justice whatsoever.
Oh, cool you're starting to play Vesperia That's great! To be honest, I think the plot in Abyss is better than in Vesperia, but to me, I think the characters are much more likable in Vesperia than they are in Abyss- I mean, look at Yuri- the man's completely charming I still don't think they should've put Vesperia for the PS3. It must've ticked a lot of people out in Japan when they announced they were gonna release for the PS3 as well- a lot of people in Japan bought the Xbox 360 just for the game.
I can't believe it's taking them this long to make the Tethe'alla arc in the anime T.T I just really hope they don't screw anything up with Mithos- I want to see him more in the anime. The Tethe'alla arc is coming out in 2010.

Yeah, sorry. I've been meaning for so long to get online. I've mostly been on MSN and Gtalk with some irl friends, and an MMORPG for killing stress. The other day I'd just beaten four games within a span of two or three days, started a light novel, and had spent a few days away from home with friends. I remembered I hadn't checked anything in so long and had to respond to everything.
...
I can tell you a few things about what's going on, but a lot of I don't like to get into. My dad's just made a lot of bad choices, and after my mom got sick out it, he started getting pushy. My younger sister still is attatched, so my careless attitude towards it upsets her. I'm actually glad he's going, and it's taken so long. But it looks like it'll happen within the week, and we'll have some family coming out to live with us in a bigger house. It'll take a few months probably for things to clear up, but it should get better.
I don't know of too many English visual novels. There's an computer program called ONScripter - easy to download online - that reads visual novel ROMs. (In some cases, like Fate/Stay Night, the CD is a program itself.) Though most of them require you to have the original Japanese disk (one of my friends has some and he loans them out to get them), or you can find it online (though downloads aren't a really public topic). A lot of people make fansub patches, so once you have it on your computer, you can find the subber, and install it along with the disk. It's probably harder if you don't know about computers, though.
Abyss is seriously amazing. I've done pretty much every first playthrough sidequest, and will cover the rest with second and on. Beat Nebilim on my second try, though part of it was motivation of never again wanting to hear her line after she kills you. I think I mentioned we fooled around with the sound test. I never realized how dirty some of the battle yells are until you loop them with another character's in a playlist. Jade with Nebilim...god, it was terrible. My friend that did that got a controller thrown at him for that, and a smack to the head from the other preson we were with. But it was admittedly pretty funny in an immature way.
...
Lol, got a bit off topic there. I wasn't too upset that Asch died. He was annoying me through most of it, though he had more awesome moments than Luke did. Though he went down as such a badass. Got hit with three swords, and still took out the soldiers. I did like Legretta though, especially after Tear read her final letter. There's the questionable thing that she fell in love with the guy who killed her brother, but the rest of it was great. Legretta and Tear were both good characters for me.
My list of animes to get through includes the .hack series. I've got //Sign and //Roots, I think they're called. It's all subbed anime, so the titles change depending on it. I've gotten really good at having anime on my computer with a game on the TV. Once I figure out how to hook my PC up to the TV for two seperate screens, I should be able to get through everything faster.
I kept staying up too late to play games, so I'm at like 70 hours in Legendia. I have a problem with playing too many games at once (I usually have at least three going), and I constantly fall asleep while playing. So my playtime is often ridiculously high lately. I'm just waiting to find out about Grune. I had this crack theory that she was actually some kind of evil overlord who was sealed away for eternity, and lost her memory. But as I get further, it looks more like it's coming true. Especially her attacks and their descriptions, like "tear the enemy apart" for Aqua Laser. Though it bugs me, because I know the German word for "green" is "gruen." So the origins of her name are so obvious if you know German, and I took four years of the language so it's stuck for me.
I remember playing it the first time and just thinking Shion's attatchment to KOS-MOS was just me taking the script out of context. But there was so much, and it's so obvious. I don't mind gay pairings though, so long as the characters are actually gay. For example, I had a conversation with a friend about a game, starting with me asking, "Why are there no straight girls in Fate?" All but about three of the full cast of females, including NPCs, are shown to have at least gay tendencies. Though the original concept was for it to be a dating sim (the constant death and blood kind of rejected it), so most girls are bi. In fact, I recently found out I'm cosplaying as a lesbian, because she's apparently not into guys. Must make the hordes of fanboys a little upset.
I'm hoping for a US release, mainly because it's easier to find content that way. I don't have a PSP, but I like to look stuff up on games I don't have. I can't afford to buy a system for only a few games.
I think what got me liking Tara Platt so much was a surprise in Abyss. I'd only heard her as good guys (and Noir, but that wasn't anything super amazing). I went looking for the incantation to Tear's Innocent Shine, and found a video on Youtube for them all. I went skipping through looking for it, and randomly hear, "You just might die." I hadn't heard her as a villain, and immediately loved it. Megan Hollingshead as Sheena was also a completely wrong role. Hollingshead is a pretty big-name VA for anime and JRPGs, and uses pretty much the same voice for everything. In Code Geass, it worked pretty well, and she wasn't too bad in Vesperia as that one guild leader who gives you the boat. Can't remember the name. Zelos was actually pretty good for his first couple lines; not perfect, but I kind of liked it. But around the sixth line it's like he stopped trying to sound like the original. Disappointing, because it would be great to hear the real Zelos calling a girl a "little bitch."
So far, Vesperia's plot sounds more like a fairy tale than a T-rated JRPG. Not bad, but sort of cliche. Then comes Yuri, who is one of the greatest main characters ever. Raven can get creepy, Estelle's annoying at times, and Karol is...just Karol, but the rest of the cast is great. But yeah, even Japan's upset about the PS3 release. The only people who want it are those who have a PS3 and not a 360. I know it doesn't make sense to release it to the same system, and the Wii isn't HD, but it wouldn't be hard to add it as Xbox Live downloadable content. They'd possibly get more money from that, because no one wants to buy a PS3 for one game.
I'm guessing they're taking their time with it because most everyone hated the first arc of the OVA. That, and there's Graces coming out soon for the Wii. And it looks like there'll even be a US release for it. But I'd say they've already screwed up Mithos pretty bad. I still can't keep a straight face whenever I see screens of how gay it looked, and they practically removed him entirely. I liked the manga; he at least had a semi-manly face. Maybe when he shows up in Ozette it'll be better, if they even show Ozette. Waiting for spring '10, and hoping it'll get better.

That really sucks about your family... It sounds awful...
Abyss pretty much had one of the best plots in the whole Tales series- the ending could make one cry. I've never actually fought aganist Nebilim...mostly because I'm never one to do tedious sidequests. I usually just go straight through the main quest, then I do some of the sidequests on my second playthrough. ...But I have too many videogames I need to play. I think the main problem I had with Abyss is that I didn't find any sort of attachment to any of the characters like I did Yuri or Lloyd. I mean, I thought Jade was awesome, and I really liked Luke's character development, but I don't know... I didn't like the characters as much as I should have. That's one of the reasons I really liked Vesperia- I liked all the characters, Yuri, Estelle, Repede, Raven, Rita...even Karol was interesting. (Except for Flynn. Flynn is too much of a Gary Stu, goody-two-shoes).
Grune's character quest is the last one in the game, so you're waiting all this time to find out about who Grune really is, waiting for her to get her memory back, so she won't act like a useless burden. O.o Your theory about Grune isn't that far of a stretch, but you'll see for yourself about Grune's true identity.
...We need more girls with gay tendencies in videogames and anime/manga. XD There are so many guys with gay tendencies out there, we need more lesbians out there to balance them out. XDD For some reason, I can take yuri more seriously than yaoi- I watched the first few episodes of Gravitation, and I thought it was ridiculous (the main character is such a girl T.T)
Zelos' original VA was pure gold- it was the perfect voice for him. (I was imagining Decus' voice to be more like Zelos, since he can be so dramatic when he wants to be XD )
The plot of ToV is sort of a cliche, but the characetrs all make up for it. Yuri is pretty much the best Tales main character ever. I like ToV on the Xbox 360- I thought it worked pretty well...but they're including all this new content to the PS3 version of ToV... even more extreme than the ToS PS2 version.
Most Tales games on a home console come out to the US.(Except for ToR, for the PS2) I think the most disappointing Tales game that didn't come to the US for me was Tales of Hearts...it looked really cool. I really hope they don't screw up Mithos' role in the OVA- I don't know how they're gonna condense the rest of the game in four 30 minute episodes. O.o Let's all pray that they don't screw it up.

Ugh, it's been such a busy over-a-week. I don't even remember when I last checked dA. Had four family members fly out who are now living with us in a small house. The little kids (ages five, eight, and ten) are attatched to me, but I kinda hate children. And the stuff I do on the computer can't really be seen by young eyes, for those unexpected times the hentai censors just don't want to work, and the excessive bloodshed. I haven't had much time to myself; in fact, my record for consecutive time alone in my room is about ten seconds. Someone's always sitting on my bed playing a handheld game (like now) or watching the computer over my shoulder, or watching me play console games. So I haven't been checking messages and whatnot recently, sorry.
Though I did end up going to Sac Anime last Saturday. We got there too late to go to the panel of the VA I wanted to, but it was still fun. I had a friend recycle a Sheena cosplay, but she refuses pictures, sadly. I'll be taking pics as soon as i can fix mine (a few pieces fell off, and I need to replace some of the ribbons). A few are going up on dA, but I'll probably post more to cosplay.com, when I get around to creating an account there. We met a bunch of Tales cosplayers, including a group of Genis, Zelos (great for our Sheena, lol), a really great Decus, and the Wonder Chef (he even passed out candy for finding him). There was also a Luke, and a Guy was running the skit panel. But the skits were terrible, and we had to leave early without complaints. The walk-on kept getting interrupted by the people runing it putting in their own terrible skits. My cosplay though...my mom had to bring the hem up, and it was a little shorter than intended. I got quite a lot of looks, including one guy who recognized me pointing me out, and then getting slapped by his girlfriend. I also got hugged by an Arietta and Anise pair who recognized me. Hugs are a lot of fun for me, because I'm deathly afraid of human contact, and hugs will spike my heart rate instantly, followed by random siezure-spazzing, and possibly squeaks if I'm surprised enough. Was still fun, though. My first ever con, so I was really excited.
The only thing stopping Abyss from being my favorite Tales game is my dedication to Symphonia. It's amazing. I even wrote a request fic for it, after some friends complained that there are no non-romance Tear/Van fluff on ff.net. Even I could tell the game was sad and was a little depressed, and that's very out of character for me. But I like sidequests sometimes. Nam Cobana Isle is amazing, and full of Pacman cameos. Nebilim's quote when she kills you is...it sounds really perverted. In the sound test, it's the very last one under her name. We were just flipping through listening to voices, and started listening to random ones. Suddenly hear, "Ooooohh! Still...not enough...." So much insane laughter and headdesking. Weird about how you didn't like the Abyss characters as much as in the others. I got the most character attatchments in Abyss. The game was a little more depressing at times than the others, and had a few similar conflicts to my irl life (discluding the magic, I guess), so that might be it. The others were much happier, and have more of a focus on friendship and bonding than the more emotional betrayals and sacrifice. The anime was even more depressing at times. Especially when Sync and Legretta die. God, they know how to manipulate the fanbase.
I keep trying to play Legendia, but my cousins are constantly using the PS2 and the Wii. It's been strictly computer for me, so I went and got like eight new games and two animes in the past week. I'm never going to finish at this rate XD
Normally canon gay is used for hentai purposes, but the stereotypes are ridiculous. It's not a bad thing to just have a gay character, and gay men aren't always so girly. Just look at Cam Clarke. He's not feminine, and does swing that way. The most I see of lesbians are for dual h-scenes. This is why I find censors for some of the visual novels I read. Sort of, "I don't want to see him sleeping with the twin maids at the same time. Why can't it just get back to the story? Hurry up and go back to delimbing the vampires." That's something I liked about Xenosaga is that Shion is so closet gay, but we didn't ever see anything explicit. The scenes could be really sweet and not end in constant nudity.
I thought the same thing about Decus's voice, but I can't complain. Doug Erholtz is a good VA. Most things I see him in he's a complete jerk, so it was pretty cool to see him in the role of a lovesick airhead.
Yeah, if ToV didn't have so many twists and if the characters were as cliche as the base plot, I wouldn't play it so eagerly. But the game creators are geniuses. All three they did are so cliched at first look, but they add in so much.
I don't know if in the OVA they're covering the rest of it, or just a small bit. I kind of hope they don't do it all; it might be worse seeing it destroyed further than not seeing it at all. I'm too scared to look forward to it. *down on knees and prays*

It's okay, you sound really busy
Did you go as Mithos? It sounded like a lot of fun. Every time I go to a con, I barely see any Tales characters. I mostly see Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Naruto cosplays. But at Otakon, I did see a Sheena and Zelos. It made me happy. That sucks about your cosplay though- it having to get hemmed up. I mostly just buy my outfits online. (I know it's bad, but I can't sew to save my life). Which VA did you want to see there? Here's my word of advie if you ever want to get a VA's autograph- always get there and hour early, especially if they're only gonna be there for one day. At Otakon over the summer, I ended up waiting for four hours waiting for Crispin Freeman's autograph, since the first autograph line was already full. Even so, four hours was worth it to have him sign one of my Xenosaga games XD It was the happiest day of my life. XDDD
Abyss is always a favorite for a good Tales-fan. Even if I didn't like it as much, the plot was amazing- definetly one of the best games out there. That's probably way I liked Symphonia and Vesperia, since it focused on the bonds of friendship. But the themes of sacrifice and emotional betrayal is probably what makes the game so awesome. I think one reason I wasn't too attached to the characters was because of the scene after Akzeriuth was destroyed- I thought it was so emotional, but I hated how everyone blamed Luke for what happened (even if it was when he was still a jerk). If that happened to me, I would probably be an emotional wreck and completely break down. For some reason, I though that was very cruel of everyone to blame him for that, when it was Van, who manipulated Luke into using his powers.
What's other games did you get? I'm playing four games at once, but I keep getting distracted by the amazingness of Fallout 3.
The problem with Shion, is that she probably isn't gay at all. But KOS-MOS/Shion is probably my favorite yuri pairing, partly because they don't show anything, and they don't even say anything. All you have to do is look at Shion's deep devotion to KOS-MOS, and you get this feeling that she secretly cares for KOS-MOS more than just a "friend." Especially in the third game.
Yuri Lowenthal is like that too- pretty much all the things I see him in, he's plays a total jerk. But I thinkt he only other thing I've seen Doug Erholtz in is Squall in Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Squall isn't a jerk- he's just too emo to realize that people like him.
That's actually why I liked ToV better than ToA- because of the characters. The plot in ToA is better by far, but the characters in ToV are just so... likable.
Well, as long as they don't completely screw up the plot, it probably would be best if they did just a small bit. I was disappointed at the whole "Kratos is an enemy" scene in the anime, since that whole revelation is what really got me into the game. And I loved Mithos' first appearance in the game when he appeared as Yggdrasil- I thought that was pure gold. I was sad that they didn't animated that scene int he anime.

Things have settled down enough that I can check my messages in peace, finally. The little cousins are spending more time out of my room now that I took the Wii, PS2, and, Gamecube out. I stuck with having the N64 and Sega Genesis. We're hopefully going to move into a bigger house soon, while staying in the area. And hopefully that'll prevent my dad from hanging around too much. He moved into a different place, but he spends more time here, so it's really annoying. Though my current biggest problem is probably the biggest fail I've ever committed. I woke up, got on the computer, and after a while my hand started hurting, and a finger on my right hand was swollen. I'm majoring in a medical field, so I knew what to do, thinking I sprained it. It's been three weeks, and I did some research, found out I broke my finger in my sleep. XD Epic fail is epic. It's fine, just a bit sore if I'm not careful. Makes games hard though, so I'm having to relearn playing games and typing with two fingers taped together.
No, a friend and I were joking around, and as a result I was her instead: [link] Weirdly though, I saw only two from Naruto, a few Final Fantasy, and no Kingdom Hearts. There were a lot of more obscure ones, like NPCs from Call of Duty. And I finally, just last night, was able to fix the tears and replace ribbon in my cosplay. It took forever to get a ride to the fabric store, and it took several trips because they never had the one I needed.
...
The VA was Liam O'Brien. He was there labeled as being Gaara from Naruto, but he was also Dist and Cumore from Abyss and Vesperia. Also, one of the reasons I cosplayed Rider was because he voiced Archer from Fate/Stay Night, the same anime. Archer is the most badass guy ever created, so amazing that real-life guys are openly gay for him and will admit it freely, in some cases. The term GAR, meaning an incredibly badass man, came from someone online saying "I'm Gay for ARcher." But we live several hours from Sacramento and hit traffic on the way, so we got there after it had already ended. We're hoping to get to another con soon, and the one we're planning might have Vic Mignona (Edward Elric, Tamaki Suoh, Zagi).
I just like more depressing themes, so Abyss was a definite love for me. Watching Yu-Gi-Oh every day as a kid killed the whole friendship thing for me. So many friendship speeches pounded into my head. I could see where they were coming from, blaming Luke. van was manipulating him, but Luke was too blinded by his own self-worth to care about anything beyond that, even common sense. And after it, he refused to take any sort of responsibility, blaming it on everyone else he could and not helping to rectify it at all. They were a little harsh, but it helped him turn into a much more likable character by the end. By that point he was in such a sorry state that he had nothing to do but get better.
Hmm...my current list of games to beat stands at...well, I got every single Zelda and Pokemon game to start. I got in so far over my head on that one. I also have Tales of Phantasia finally, and will hopefully be getting Destiny and Eternia soon, but PS1 games are hard to find. We recently got in 40-odd games for the Sega Genesis because I am a nerd who loves my old systems. I think there are...four animes on my to-watch list. And once I land a job (practically no one hires around here D I'll end up with more I'm sure. If you've ever seen Lucky Star, think Konata. One of her problems is constantly buying news games/anime/manga even though she's already in the process of going through some, so that she can read it when she's done. But then she picks up more, and then more, and it stacks up like crazy and it's a never-ending run of otaku-nerding.
Shion just looked like she wanted to be really close friends with KOS-MOS and felt the way she did since she helped in the creation. But any close girl friendships from Japanese works look gay. Though that makes it great for when someone sees actual lesbians in anime and you can tell them it's Japanese, so almost all friendships come across as that. With Shion, it looks really sweet. But I guess if I were to support one, it'd be ShionxAllen. He clearly likes her, but he can't spit it out.
Ironically enough to that, Doug Erholtz and Yuri Lowenthal are great friends in real life. Erholtz is in a lot of side roles in stuff I've seen, like in Code Geass. His Wikipedia page is here: [link] Linking to it partly because I don't know what all you've seen, and partly because I'm a lazy teenager who is currently babysitting three kids.
ToV has a lot of fun characters. So many of them look great to meet, except Karol. You give the kid leadership of a guild, and he's gonna run mad with self-entitled power. But really, that's just me with almost all kid characters =3. Everything in that game starts off cliche, but get through the first several hours and it's amazing.
The new episodes of the OVA are creating a mixed reaction with the fans. Some don't want it, some want it to cover the rest of it, some want it to only cover up to a certain point.... It could've been worse, I guess. It's worth watching to see how they cover the fights outside of the limited CGI in the game, because some of them are pretty epic. But as a remake in whole, not so much.
