Bases aren't useless. They teach you to draw better. ^_^ I first started using bases a while back, and I eventually grown out of the habit on paper. I really only use bases on the computer now. But what I'm getting at is this- Bases aren't a bad thing. They help out beginners. I've learned to draw a lot better since I first started using them.

Around the middle of last year. ^_^ At first I was horrible at drawing, and I wasn't very good at using bases, either... But eventually I got better and better... It's good practice on hair and clothing. Now I'm a bit better at drawing body proportions and clothes and hair.

If I'm correct in the fact then should you not bother off- and leave the advice to stay.

You thinking her work is 'cute' doesnt improve her art at all. Simple advice put out, now either take it or sink back into the multitudes of art-farts who think they're they can do teh artz.
