I'm not sure how long ago it was, but you asked why asians were so good at drawing/painting (that sort of thing). I know everyone was picking on you, and I get all that generalisation and stuff, but I totally get what you mean. All my favourite artists, I looked up where they were born and most of them were born in Asia. And its not just on DA, at anime festivals, a characature compacy, art students etc. The best drawer in my class who was years a head in her drawing was Japanese.
Our school had a speaker this year to talk about 'getting our hopes up' and he was saying how poeple generalise saying 'asians are good at maths' etc, and he said that the only difference is that when an aussie finds something hard, they give up or just accept it and parents just take it. However because of their culture when a Chinese (this is all from australia) comes home, their parents encourage them to practice and try harder. As a result, its time an effort that makes you great, its just that its more prominent in some people then others, and very prominent in asian cultures.
