Also, hey, you live in Nelson? Such a nice town! Took a vacation to Ainsworth once, ended up wishing we could have spent more time in Nelson

awesome!
me and my sister used to go to ainsworth when we were kids. I wanted to explore the natural caves but could never get past the entrance because I would overheat after 15 seconds X3
Nelson is a nice place to live, I love that it's surrounded by mountains and trees and not too big of a city.
I definitely wouldn't do very well in a large city.

Heh, yeah, the caves can be kind of overwhelming :b I have problems with breathing hot air, so I couldn't stay in them long, either x_x Very neat inside, though! The lights make it look cool inside :b
Yeah, it seemed really really nice. My fiance and I are both into more remote, wild areas, and it seemed a nice compromise between "remote/middle-of-nowhere" and "civilized comforts" :b Neither of us are city people, either!

I would have to agree, from most peoples perspectives Nelson would seem like a small city in the middle of nowhere. It's not like it's the wilderness though, it's still a small active city with a small highway running by it. I really like the trees though, I looked at images of larger cities, and a lot of them just didn't have any.

*nods* I really miss the mountains and trees of BC a lot :b Vancouver is fairly lucky with having trees and forest around - used to having trees on every street, sidewalk, corner. That sort of thing. But where I am now, an old village in Scotland? All cool stone buildings, but absolutely no trees whatsoever :b

sounds almost a bit eerie X3
I remember visiting montreal when I was 14? I felt very uncomfortable/uneasy because the terrain was so flat, and even at my aunt's in the countryside, there were a few trees, but mostly large open fields an no forests. it almost felt barren... but in a way that wherever you went there was housing other buildings.

*nods* I agree :b Heh, I've heard of the reverse, though - an old friend's boyfriend was raised in Alberta, and supposedly found the presence of mountains to be claustrophobia-inducing :b

lol. I guess it makes sense if your used to living in a particular terrain.
I like my mountains, and that's where I'm staying *clings to large rock*
