when you first type in deviantart.com you see the popular newest prints and daily deviations right? on the right of that is a column, just go there and press edit settings & profile
at that page is another column to the left. go to identity and then there is a button that says change avatar. ^___^ it may take a while for you to see the change in the icon though, a few hours to a few days. hope that helps. ^_________^
