No, actually, the name comes from one of the main characters in the Ganbare Goemon series by Konami, better known in the western half of the world as the Mystical Ninja series.

Meh, not always in a GOOD way, but for the most part I'm actually fairly optimistic. I just tend to ground said optimism with a more realistic look at life so I don't get hurt all the time... a tactic that doesn't really work, now that I think about it.
