B-but nestling Leroku is just a small medium sized green thing. How bad could Ku cuddles be?

Mmmm, nope. You are being wuved on. The nuzzlings and purrings announce that you are currently claimed by Nestling Ku. You are occupied. You are unavailable. Your maximum capacity has been reached. You have no openings. You have a full lap.

*tries to appease Nestling Ku with pets and rubs* B-but what if I have to get a snack? Or a glass of water?

Moga In reply to Sayhono [2010-05-10 09:33:45 +0000 UTC]

That is acceptable, so long as you get something tasty for Nestling Ku as well.

Oh, good. I was worried there for a moment. *puts Nestling Ku into one of those neat little baby slings* Just as long as he doesn't barf or something.

Moga In reply to Sayhono [2010-05-12 00:13:59 +0000 UTC]

He may make gagging noises. Do not be alarmed - he comes standard with a 'storage' stomach that he will bring things up from from time to time.

P.S.: This has now been drawn. I can not draw a baby sling. Also, you look like a generic fuzzy thing with round ears and a long-furred tail. I's sorreh. ._.

Yayness! I drew an accurate!

I think their smallest cultural unit of time is referred to as "Sangreal's day", which is equivalent to a month. Since they don't have a written language, they don't keep track of time very well. They pretty much only have two notable increments of time, the other being roughly equivalent to three years - about the time it takes from when a nestling is born until it leaves its parents's nest.

What about the day/night cycle? Don't they take notice of whatever primary light emitting bodies are floating around out there? Although, if their shortest unit of time is the equivalent of a month. It would be fantastic for procrastinators. >.>

Well, they definitely notice changes in light, but I don't think they really have words for day and night. When the sun's up, they work. When it's dark, they sleep.

Pretty hard to procrastinate when all your job options, essentially, are:
Hunter
Gatherer
Lookout
Patrol
Tunnel Digger

Daily tasks include getting food, cleaning/rebuilding nests, and remarking territory boundaries.

Maybe I'm getting MSGT culture mixed up with someone else's. @_@

Healer - as well as a job title know as Lorelei - are both special positions. Any given pack only has one or two at a time and they're given special instruction and years worth of training in order to take on the title.

In the story I've been working on, the first section deals with Nestling Ku's mother giving him to another member of the pack to raise in order to receive his training to be a Lorelei.

Aww, you make stories that I don't get to read. *bustles about with Nestling Ku in his little sling, and does 'chores'* Unless you post them somewhere?
