I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday now that I had the chance to use the internet.
I read your post on how you feel conflicted between providing for your family and creating the artwork you wish you had more time for. I think it's incredibly noble and responsible of you to put your family first, not all dads are like that and I deeply respect you for that. As for findingΒ the opportunity to make art, I don't know how old your kids are but maybe you can convince them to join you in a drawing session or do some quick sketches of them for practice. I sometimes try to carry a pocket sketchbook with me to try and capture images while making my way to and from school. It's not always possible for me but maybe it might be possible for you.

Thank you. It's incredibly thoughtful of you, I had fun on my birthday and wanted to get a tablet but I gotta save up. On my break I try and draw what comes to mind but I just may try what you said. Thanks a lot
