I use a camera and tripod to make pictures of my work. I usually place them on the floor, shoot them with lots of light but no flash.

Oh and make sure there aren't any weird shadows on your work if you photograph them. This might seem a bit obvious but you can't always tell until you see the result. Good luck.

Not really any lessons. But my dad was an artist and he tought me a lot. Mostly by simply watching him doing his stuff

Yeah, I would love to take classes but I never have. I tried to get in a few times but the degree I'm taking just doesn't allow it.

methinks the best way to move forward is to observe and just keep practicing. Degrees are illusional borders anyway. BTW you are doing a great job without classes. Just keep at it, I say!

Haha thanks. I think it would be fun to take classes just for extra critiques and criticisms. Perhaps someday. In the mean time I'm just practicing when I find the time and the bug bites.
