Think about this...
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
*PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE POST IT'S SO DAMN TRUE*
1. At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. If not for you, someone may not be living.
8. You are special and unique.
9. Someone that you don't even know exists, loves you.
10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.
12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.
13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.
15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great. add this as a comment to ten of ur friends tonight and at midnight your true love will find you. Something good will happen to you at 2:25 tomorrow. Get ready for the biggest shock of your life. Whoever breaks this chain letter will be cursed with 10 relationship problems for the next ten years..."

LOL and yes I have an older sister, but since I'm lacking in the green gunk department I just fall back on the old plastic cockroach gag - she's just too easy to freak out, although what's ironic is that she bought that cockroach to freak ME out and now see what's happened, hee hee! *Marries irony*

I have a younger brother myself, but I'm quite short in the green gunk department. *sigh* I could always steal his Fraiser DVDs so HE WOULD STOP WATCHING THEM IN MY ROOM WHEN I'M TRYING TO SLEEEPPPPP! -.- I have the PS2 in my room. I could kick him out but I cant kick out my mum when she comes to watch it. If only I had green gunk.

The Playstation used to be in my sister's room too, so of course that caused never ending strife when I was playing FF8 one day and couldn't get out of this place to save after I'd been there for one hour, and my sister was yelling at me coz she wanted her room back, upon which I was forced to turn off the PSX after one hour's worth of levelling up without saving thus it all went down the drain. O____oxxx Ohhhhh that burned. THAT BURNED. >___< Our PS2 now sits in the living room and I play until 4 am in the morning with no one on my back, at least it means I can chuck as many tanties as I want and no one will ever see or hear... ah, the stressful analogue-controller-throwing life of the RPG gamer!

*Face paints with * Mmmmm... fishy. And with such nice consistency!

The woirst part of FF8 was the final boss! >.< It took like 2 hours to get through all of them, I used all my good junction spells on them so I got weaker and weaker as it went on and it took FOREVER. Plus every RP gamer has the eternal "*name* it's time for dinner NOW TURN THAT OFF OR YOU SHALL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF MONEY AGAIN! *maniacal laughter*" fear. *shudder*.
The latest I stayed up was with FFX that was only to 1am or something. I'm afraid I'm still a rookie compared to you oh master of late night gaming.

*Shudders in remembrance* The first time through I didn't even fully get the junction system (first ever RPG + cluelessness = DOOMSDAY ) so I went into the final battle and got my ass handed to me over and over again. X___x Three days of trying, three days of failure. Then I got invited to a friend's place, and since my pals hadn't seen FF8 yet I decided to bring the game and my memory card to show them. So there I was, bumming around the castle showing each GF summon and then I said, "Hey, I should show you guys the final battle so you know what type of hell I'm going through!" So I sashay up to the final door, with no proper junctioning to speak of and a party I hadn't properly geared up since I thought it was just going to be a brief demo. Went in. Fought first form, survived. Griever shows up and I was like, "Ha here we go guys, he always kills me!" He did kill me, but then Phoenix came and saved my ass. Then I wound up killing Griever somehow. O__o Defeated third form. Defeated fourth form. By this point I was like, "Oh crap. This is getting heavy...." X__x Fifth form arrives, and FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL BEGINS. O__O;;; My friends and I were all leaning towards the screen and screaming and yelling at the appropriate places, woo-hooing whenever I got a Lionheart move in and then Ultimecia starts turning red and shaky...

Zen: "She's shaking. She's shaking?"
*Pause*
All of us: "SHE'S SHAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So there we go - it's amazing what being half-assed can achieve in final battles!
Ah, and 1 am is a good start at least - one of my pals always packs up at 12 and that just staggers me coz the party's just getting started baby, yeaaaahh. I slept in to 12:15 today though, my bad.

Spend hours getting juctions at island closest to hell (still havent found closest to heaven)
hours beating cactuars for 20AP each
Didnt even bother getting all the abilities back at the castle
Had a free weekend so I sat down and spent hours finishing it.

Brother: you beat her yet?
Me: nope
------
30min later
Bro: Humm?
Me: on the next stage
-----
*Bro comes in and plays on laptop*
*I read a magazine while clicking X over and over and over again*
Several hours later its all over and I'm about to die of starvation ;_; damn you square and your adictive long games

zenphoenixa In reply to Senefen [2005-02-26 06:51:35 +0000 UTC]

*Recalls those experiences* Yes, those endless endless levelling up sessions and the CACTUARS OMG. I can still hear that strange squeak they make... X____x I remember sneaking into that desert on disc 2 to get all the AP, and later getting pwned by Ruby Dragons, and trying to find that blasted White SeeD ship and... hmm, yes, the joys of first RPGs. But you beat that turd by the name of Ultimecia, so all is good! I know what you mean, that final battle takes so long to get through - even when I played through a second time with a properly prepared, lv 100 party it still took 20 minutes to complete... Crazy witch lady just won't die!!

Plus there's always the highlight of reaching the WTF is going on part of the story when the villian dramaticaly changes from the regular villan to someone you've never heard on. (remember Yu Yevon?). It's all good and fine then suddenly Kefka/Yevon/Ultimercia appears out of the magic land of Tir Na Nog to kill or take over the job of regular villan and dramaticaly screw up the timeline.

My 1st RPG was pokemon! We had game boy then N64 then GC then we got the PS2 so I was a bit late in the FF business. ;_; Now I cant get FF9 because they stopped making it and I had to buy FF7 2nd hand from the video shop for $15. Stupid Square! MAKE MORE COPIES!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zenphoenixa In reply to Senefen [2005-03-01 06:53:25 +0000 UTC]

Hell yeah, don't we know it! *___* You know, so far it's only FF7 that I've played so far which actually has one main villain and one main villain ONLY, not some bum who decides to shirk their bad ass duties onto some hopeless wannabe... *Looks at the little cuttlefish which is Yu Yevon and eats it* O_____o;;;; But I reckon it was FF9 which was most guilty of this crime, as of this day there is virtually no one who can explain why the final boss was what the final boss was. And most of all, no one knows WHO the final boss was. SQUARE SCREWED WITH OUR MINDS.

I agree, the Final Fantasies are so hard to find nowadays, except for FF8 of course which all the stores overstocked and still can't get rid of even after five years. On rare occasions I've spotted FF9 in EB, and a friend of mine nearly got a second-hand FF7 from EB except to be told that it was just an empty box, there was no game. X____x (So why put it on the shelf? Ninnies!!!) Us Aussies are getting jipped in the RPG department, I demand MORE!!! *Starts up the hunting howl*

'Twas the most economical way for me to ever be able to play Chrono Cross, which as usual was not released down here. RTYUIODSAAGJKLL WTF. >___<;;; Nothing ever comes down here. We're STRANDED, with a country full of sheep on one side and a block of melting ice down south. I assure you Square, Aussies are not on the verge of being eaten by sheep or drowning in snowy gloop. YOUR RPGS WON'T BE WASTED ON US.... T_____T *wonders why she's yelling*

pssst I got Roms for Chrono Trigger, FFV, FFVI, FFIV, FFIII and about a billion other things ha ha.

Dont forget the ever present threat of invasion from the puny islands above and tuna to the west. We need to drag Japan down here and put it in the middle of the desert. Then we can get their stuff easy by way of donky cart.

Mmmm, local Japanese maaaaarket.... *Homer Simpson drooling* I reckon the whole country could balance pretty well on Uluru, though if what's been said is true then everyone will get heart attacks and die in the process. We have more things that can kill you in very nasty and unusual ways than any other country... except perhaps the amazon.
Even the sea shells are deadly for crying out loud! And the fish and the snakes and praticaly every spider and the roos and.... the platypus! Oh yes! Theyre poisionus! Fun ne?

Hee hee never had a TV consol before the 64. All SNES roms were gotten in the time of the dead SNES.... need more roms.
Have any good ones? Want any? I have plenty

LOL, it's such a ripoff that something as cute and unassuming as a PLATYPUS can still inflict grievous bodily harm on Homo Sapiens. Oh yeah, and don't forget those weird mutant flies with green eyes that apparently spit acid. Or something. O__o;;; I killed it before it could kill me anyway, so I couldn't find out. (Luckily. >__> ) One thing I still have to find out is whether it's a good idea to hit a wasp nest with a fly swat. Feel free to either deter or encourage me in this venture. ^__^

Arg, and me got no time for games since uni is eating me from the ass-side up, I'm typing this up in my uni library actually... well, I DID try to get into my proper media comp lab, but I think I set off an alarm because I overheard a security guard getting orders on his walkie-talkie to check out an alarm in the lab I was just at, but it AIN'T MY FAULT coz the door was open. *Cough* > ____>;;; I'll revisit my games and roms later, I mostly have Sonic roms and a few old RPGs like Shining Force and Chrono Trigger. Oh yeah, and Lost Secret of the Rainforest. OMG I actually got addicted to an educational game. O____O;;; *dies*

Go for it! Those wasps have it coming!

ha ha educational addiction. I went through all the facts about the old Gods and stuff in age of mythology, does that count?

Everything in this country kills you. Sea shells, platypus, all the snakes and spiders and wasps and beetles and ticks and lice and inverterbrates in general. Plus lets not forget the vicious and poisionus sea life, baby stealing dingos, kangaroos, possums and bats with rabies and the typical trigger happy Queenslander.
God I love this country! It does more to freak out and poision Americans that I ever thought possible.

Aww, the wasps are gone now, my dad must've beaten to me to it... >____>;; 'cept he probably used a broom. Smart man.

Learning about old Gods and stuff is FUN! Learning about sex ed is not. O___o Well, except maybe in yr 8 when we had the 'fun' bananas to act as demos. Yay for public schools, and our yr 7 PE teacher who lectured us about the dangers of kissing!

Oh yes, and let's not forget the mozzies with Ross River virus. And the murderous rocks which somehow always manage to get into your shoes and wedge between your toes. And the Yarra water.

I had the luck to get the sex ed talk on my birthday... >.<. Did you have those cartoon videos too? Ha ha yes kissing in dangerous - especialy if someone has bad breath or both of you have braces

Poor wasps. Invite them back they have as much right as you do.

God bless mouthwash and the insightfulness of Melbournites.

Heh heh, I never got the sex ed talk. I picked up everything I needed to know from my classmates. I remember when someone told me what 'bitch' meant so I tried it out on my sister when I was in year 3 and my mum chased me around the house with a wooden spoon. And then I went for years thinking that a virgin was someone who could have a baby without having sex, thanks to my very dense sister. >__> Kids are so impressionable these days. Nah, we didn't get cartoon videos, we got some fake family unit educating their bratty little boy on the "wonders of life." Oh GAG me.

Kissing is dangerous if you use superglue as lippy! O___O
