Not gonna lie, now I understand how GEEUNNERS felt when the end credits for Bayformers 2007 rolled... it's Jurassic World but it's not Jurassic Park (if that makes sense)
It's still awesome, but it doesn't feel the same. JP and JW exist in two separate-but-linked timelines, the same way G1 and Bayformers do. It's the tiny details that really make it obvious, like the children in Jurassic World using mobile phones... that didn't exist in 1993, or Soundwave trying to be an 80s cassette deck... and sticking out like a sore thumb
It just goes to show that even for giant robots smashing the sh!t out of each other and cloned dinosaurs eating people you still have to be at least a little bit realistic
Yessir, we had a sprinkling of costumed crusaders and a Cosplay Panel on Saturday. Oh but it gets better - while I was waiting to get in, Cowboy Ironhide asked me to get my orange arse up on the official side of the table and I was featured in a BotCon article for the "Kane County Chronicle" > www.kcchronicle.com/2015/06/21…

Indeed! Just wish DuckJack coulda been a little more cooperative so I didn't have to keep disappearing to conduct repairs. BUT FEAR NOT!!! The next con, I will be travelling by Earthling roads! On a side note, started back up on ROFLCopter. Just kinda waiting on arrival of a PLETHORA of sample fabrics to match the colors. Gonna try using something a wee bit different for this one that will hopefully make him sturdier (studlier too if you can even see this character as anything BUT studly). In any case, the down side of this method is I will have to wait for the fabric BEFORE assembling even the most minor of pieces. So right now just cutting out foam/making a mess.
Also, I am interested in making another movie bot. I am open to suggestions?

ORLY? What kind of fabric is it? It's unusual to have to wait for the "paint" to arrive first, since you can usually add the decoration over the robot shapes... TEH MULL3T must know moar
If only you knew the temptation to shout SENTINEL PRIME jsut so we can tag-team-troll BotCon into a smoking crater

Hey Sergeantduck, I see that you are in progress of making TF Prime Wheeljack cosplay and so far is looking great. I'm loving your work on other cosplays and I am hoping to see the final product with Wheeljack. coincidently I've actually made my own wheeljack cosplay, but I'm going to Botcon this year as Ultra Magnus, my wife as Wheeljack and my cousin as Bumblebee. If you don't have a chance to finish wheeljack; will you be willing to wear your awesome ratchet cosplay from prime. I would love to have a pic with your costume. But if not then don't worry my feelings wont be hurt. Thought I would take a chance and ask you. Anywho, keep up the awesome work and screw the other person's opinion on your costume. I consider it work of art if you spent hours putting blood and sweat in finishing it .

Thank you but no. TFP Ratchet will not be making an appearance at BotCon this year. He was my first real full sized mech suit and is mostly large pieces that are not suitable for shipping on an airplane. Maybe next year seeing as how I will be back on the mainland United States. But right now I am still stationed over on Hawaii. As it is, its costing me a lot of money to fly in along with my Wheeljack costume.
