there are two importand things about flytraps - don't use water with calk (use rainwatter or half rainwater would be the best) and NEVER EVER use fertilizer!

but i suggest a sundew - they are normaly more robust (the most breeds of them) and just keep them wet and warm in the winter and everything should be fine

no problem, an i suggest ebay if you prefer a special carnivore - there are nearly all species of them - easy and robust ones and really difficult ones!

i prefer the rubust ones, too - i suggest you take a look for drosera filiformis, robust beautiful and effective - and there are two of them - one for outside with cold winters and one for inside

i like it =^.^= i think i should get the cold winter one ,'cause i'm moving to an even colder region;i also like the Drosera kenneally (just how it looks,not as a pet,you know,because of the obvious reasons); you are so helpful,thank you!!!! robust plants for the win: even if you don't really know what you're doing,you kinda have a chance to correct it and do things right; it's always sad when you see that something's not feeling good/dies (even if it's "just" a plant)

Drosera kenneally looks like an australian breed - but i'm not sure

australian ones are normaly more difficult to handle - exept you life in australia

it is australian and i think it's also an endemic plant =] i never actually thought of getting one ,i just like how it looks XD and no i'm not from australia,i'm european =] i've pretty much made up my mind about which one to get...do you think Drosera rotundifolia is a good choice?

in case you have have a pool, it is a good idea, because it is really difficult to get them over the winter inside of a house, but really easy outside

A tropical one is not the worst choice, drosera capensis is the most common species and a easy one, you can get it even in market gardens but i suggest for other species you take a look into the internet, there are compleat and great lists of droseras - i guess in your mother tounge, too
And you can get nearly every species over ebay (but i suggest you take the plants and not the seeds - at least as beginner) I put my seeds up to my adult plants and seperat them later - because it's just easyer

i won't have a pool there ,so i guess my brilliant plan is a fail i also like Drosera aliciae,Drosera burmannii and Drosera tokaiensis =] any other species you'd like to suggest? i have to admit , i never actually thought about getting seeds( i prefer to get them as plants) XD

there are many good plants, just take a look for websites and you should check if the plant lifes only one year or more years - oh and some should be buyed as seeds like drosera regia

But i stay with my normal and standart plants, filiformis, capensis and some smaller i forgot the name
