More or less the same. Stress here, stress there... few smooth spots along the line but their very temporary when they show up.

Same. Shit happens and occasionally there will be a spot of brightness in the dark, but then oh well, it's shitty again. +_+

First off, End of Evangelion is amazing, and secondly thank god someone else defends another persons right to a beer once and awhile. Those other pricks on DAS were getting annoying. So rock on.

Oh yeah, infact the whole series was down right amazing. Wish it was slightly more true to the manga though, rather than the fan service heh, I mean I so wanted to see Gendo kill all those JSDF soldiers with the AT field from Adam in his hand but ya know... time, money, and resources to finish the movie kind of cuts some of the really cool stuff out. But that's true for everything turned into a show or a movie.

Well the show was amazing. And the manga was written after the show actually it was meant to help clarify some stuff. I refuse to read the manga until it's complete, I hate cliffhangers , it might be by now but who knows it's taken like 12 years. Anyway we'll see if it'll be incorporated into the new movies.

Well I think the opening chapters of the story were originally written before the Anime (respectively starting in 1994 and the anime being 1995) but they haven't finished it since then, and is still sadly ongoing. But yeah maybe in the new release movies they will include some of the backfill to the story from the near complete manga. I mean I'm pretty sure the anime finished before they even got through the first few books but I'm not sure don't follow it too closely in that aspect. But yeah can't wait to see the new redone series to see where it has improved upon the old one without it being a total from the ground up relaunch.

Really? I thought one of the artists, not Hideki Anno wrote the manga?? Have you seen the first movie? It was AMAZING!

Yeah I saw the first one, it was great.
I'm not to sure on the details I just know it was a few months apart between the two with the Manga being out first but I could have it the other way around. Either way its pretty much what saved japanese animation from extinction because it had been on a downward spiral for a few years and was stagnated. Revived the whole damn thing, which honestly in retrospect may not have been such a great thing lol.

But how sad would my life be without Eva! Anyway there are still some decent animes out there, watch 5cm Per Second, and other Makoto Shinkai works ^_^

Deoradhain In reply to ShadowNeko13 [2009-10-07 07:03:21 +0000 UTC]
Oh don't get me wrong, plenty of good animes out there the problem is there are vast hordes of terrible ones out there. Which just play on the old genre setting classics. And yeah EVA is pretty damn good and it would suck without it.

That's very true. Or they have no plot and are all fanservice like... what was this crazy one about all these girls with boobs at some school and some guy... can't remember but it was obnoxious as hell. Not even funny or endearing like Love Hina which is amazing. *sigh*

Oooh... thats a tough one, going to have to think for a minute (5:56 PM) on which particular harem anime that is.
(5:59 PM) Negima? Oh what else... Techi Muyo? (one of those series/seasons he goes to college if I recall) But oh god is the list of those kind of anime's long.

Oh my god, just looked it up... that's atrocious.
Amusingly enough though looking at actual reviews
of it from American critics and it is pretty much
scored by American viewers, with good cause.

No apparently it got good reviews in japan, but probably because a higher percentage of their male population is fuckin' weird.

Thank you!!!! It's glad to know there's at least SOMEONE on this website (and especially DAS!) who isn't a complete and total moron, and who isn't a teenager still living in their parent's house absolutely convinced that they know absolutely everything.
PS- Hello, fellow Oregonian.
PPS- "I thank you, countless generations of Aztecs who died pointlessly at the hands of the Spanish for figuring out chocolate was awesome.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a pair of 23mm cannons.
If your stabbed in the back, stab them right back. Of course they say eye for an eye makes the whole world blind... but isn't it true that justice is blind?"
Is AWESOME. And so are you. Watched!

I know, its kind of outrageous and honestly I probably shouldn't be all riled up by internet stupidity but... Good lord the majority of the people who weren't old enough to drink in their respective countries of origin, speaking out against the evils of alcohol was insane. I mean when did we step back into the prohibition era? Now honestly I can understand if someone has had a bad experience with alcohol such as an abusive parent or something along the lines of someone taking your wallet if you pass out at a party but that's not the alcohols fault, that's people being pieces of human garbage. Now sometimes alcohol does make these problems worse but if someone is going to be abusive chances are they do it when not blind stinking smashed as well. But what gets me is how people demand that courage isn't courage no matter where it is found is ludicrous, because not everyone has high self confidence and sometimes before you go and say something to someone or go and do something you need a pick me up and occasionally that is alcohol and even if its just is a mental thing for ya to say "Well I have something in me might as well try" at least your going out there and trying. But at this stage I'm just saying what we already know heh. And awesome, thank you for the watch.
Post Script: The Aztec line and the Justice is Blind lines are all of my own origin (in case you were wondering where those quotes come from. don't care if people quote me on them though, kind of why I mention them to other folk on my page.) Oh yeah and your from Oregon at some point too? Pretty wild but not uncommon, and don't blame ya if you moved out of the state to get away hah.

Yeap exactly. It's not anyone's fault if they're not as outspoken as someone else, and just cuz they might need a drink beforehand doesn't make them shit- it makes people who judge them and run their mouths obnoxious tools.
Also, I loved Portland, but I've lived too long in places where it rains.

Ah Portland, I like Portland but I never like spending more than a few days there... the atmosphere of the city wears down pretty fast and then I want escape, so I go back home to Central Point (down near Medford at the southern end of the state)
