Long story short, it's an inside joke. I have bad luck scavenging items in games and of all my friends, I'm the one always walking away with an inventory of junk/useless items. My catchphrase was 'Imma steal your junk!' because it happen so often it was a given that I would get nothing but junk items instead of treasure.

We are the Junk Thieves. Oh gosh. I just imagined running away with a garbage bag and someone chasing me down screaming, "Give that back, it belongs in the trash!"
