Anyway, welcome to DevART. ^^ the upload link is at the top left of your page, third button from the left to be exact. People can't see your watch list, but they can see who watches *you*. If you add them to your watch list, they get a notice someone is watching them. You can send a "note" to someone that only the person you send it to sees, a comment on their page or art is viewable by everyone.
I'm sure you've figured all this out by now. Just takes a little practice ^_^ I'm still learning stuff, too, even after a couple of years. And I'm not embarassed
