Sorry for not responding to your question. Yeah you could say that i'm mad about it.

I still truly believe that Burton only hired Billy Dee for his looks and not for his talent cause it's obvious Burton didn't really see Billy Dee as the best guy for the job "acting wise," so much that he gave him very weak material to work with in order to minimize him and left him out of the sequel with no info on his whereabouts.

If Burton did, he would have given Billy Dee the proper Dent stuff and stuck to his phony Black and White concept that he claimed but i know for a fact that Burton wanted to stay away from the first flick.

That would mean Burton would have to re-introduce Dent all over again played by another black actor if Billy Dee can't play it since he was pretty much washed up. WB was at the time going for "Big Name" actors and Billy Dee's name didn't carry any weight to it outside of Star Wars, hence the buy out from his contract.

I mean picture yourself in Billy Dee's shoes, how would you feel if you weren't mentioned at all in Batman Returns regardless of your effort and performance with the crappy script that you were given?

Well i wouldn't call the batman 89 script crappy just because billy got a small role in it but anyways burton DID have plans to bring back billy dee in batman returns cause max shrecks part was originally harvey dent's role but for some odd reason they reworte it to max i guess cause billy had another film going during that same year or just couldn't make it?& for the answer in being in billy's show i would have at least talk to burton or wb just to make a cameo or have a part in the film but please note "Batman Returns is not really a sequel to Batman. It doesn't pick up where the first one left off. [...] The point was to make it all feel fresh and new. It was the only way I could envision the movie" (Burton, 1992)

Hmm if you say that the the story for Batman Returns didn't call for Dent then Batman '89's story didn't need Dent either and not waste money on an actor like Billy Dee to do nothing.

With everything that was established in Batman 89, there was no good reason for Dent not to appear in RETURNS whatsoever. If they can squeeze in a reference to Vicki Vale, then Harvey Dent should get the same. Don't you think?

As said earlier the original script in batman returns did call for a return for billy to return as harvey dent but just because batman returns felt like a different film from first didn't rule out the possibilties for harvey dent to return it's up to the actor.& yes i do but i even recall in other script of batman returns i think the first draft i believe they were gonna mention that harvey was in metropolis just to reference both vicki & harvey

Meaning Burton wanted to stay away from the first flick because Burton has barely any sense of continuity with his movies. He also thinks Batman 89 is boring. Dent was a part of the bore factor in it. That would mean Burton would have to re-introduce Dent all over again played by another black actor if Billy Dee can't play it since he was pretty much washed up.

Bottom line is: We don't know what they both had in mind for that role. Billy Dee said he would do it differently in one of his interviews but it's only vague and i haven't seen any example of how he would have done it. Same with Burton with his "Black and White" concept that he never went for even when he got control on Batman Returns.

Well the only true way to know more in these films is ask both tim burton & billy dee cause all were doing asking questions to ourselves with no cut clear answer.

A story of mine if you are familiar with Batman Beyond will have my Two-Face wear a split suit with one side normal while the other is modeled after Beetlejuice's suit.
