it's just that compared to other artist my work is still child's play ..

I can never get the shading or form of the person right, and when I attempt to color them it, they look reeeeeeeeeeally bad, so I stick witha pencil...

that's not true !!
it's just a matter of trial and error ..
and you will be surprise what you can learn from the streets .. (that's where i learned to draw) ..
and in coloring when using color pencils ..
try shading it lightly at first .. then if you don't like it just erase it ..
but first you have to ballpen it ..
