Yeah the fear of bricking when writing to flash is definitely nerve-racking especially when I downgraded Shaun's 2.01PSP and Bruce's PSP when it was 2.00. Yeah 1.5's the best though homebrew's excellent, I personally love Doom-psp, retro emulators and devhook.

Doom-PSP's awesome, it even let's you use custom WAD files which is even better! there's a TON of WADs out there that make the game a whole lot better and yeah the emulator's for it are pretty sweet too, especially SNES, Genesis, NES and the new GBA. It'll be awesome when the PS1 emu hits the scene!

Custom wads are great especialy the goldeneye wad, it's a pitty it doesn't take the psxmusic wad though but that's very minor. PS1 emulation will certainly be one of the best things about the upcoming firmwares, I'd really love to play the original silent hill, resident evil games and the psx version of doom portably.

The SNES, NES and Mega Drive emulators certainly are gems, it's great to play things like Super Metroid, the sonic games for genesis, streets of rage, Mario bros etc, at full speed.
