Practice does make improvement, yeah, hehe. I can certainly try, I just...don't yet have the skills to draw freehand (as in, out of my imagination instead if what I see) just yet

No probs! I have the utmost respect for those who serve in the military. :>

I have very little formal training when it comes to art, so I'll see what advice I can provide. XD;; First of all, you're on the right track: Drawing from life is the best place to start! In early drawing classes, you'll usually be referencing a model in the room. In that same vein, I always try to use reference images (or pose in front of a mirror or something. XD;; ).

What exactly do you prefer to draw? From there, I can try to narrow down my advice. If you'd like to work on human anatomy, I posted a journal entry a few months ago about some tutorials and references that I'd been using. Maybe they can be useful to you as well.

I have no clue what I prefer to draw, since I am just beginning! Though I am aiming to make a comic out of a game, kinda like you (ever heard of Nuzlocke comics?), I'll definitely need to work on human anatomy, but I'd have to get there, first! Thus far I've drawn a bottle of water, two pens, a standing fan, and a pair of ballistic sunglasses x3

That's correct! And it's a fun challenge, and especially gratifying if you have the patience to ensure you do not lose any of your compatriots, of course.
