I didn't finish, unfortunately. With the week-long London trip I got so far behind I couldn't motivate myself any more...plus the story sucked. So I picked my old novel back up and I'll be writing on that one again from now on.

It went great. I was sick for the second week! So I'd barely started, and my brain crashed 'cause of being sick with a nasty cold. I had determination, however. I got better soon and FORCED myself to write, so I made my deadline!

For future reference, there's a NaNoWriMo chatroom on DeviantART and they hold these 'word wars'. It's a race against the clock to see if you can write more words than anyone else during that time. It helped me SO much in the last legs.

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't finish. But it's good to know you're working on an old novel! Give that poor thing some love, it's probably feeling so rejected

Congratulations, I'm happy to hear that ^__^
And yeah, there were NaNo wordwars on the NaNo forum too, but I've never really participated. I got to 24k in the end, though, in 10 days of actual writing, so I'm pretty pleased with how I did either way. If I had still been happy with my story at that point, I'd have won. However, NaNo was just a way to get into the habit for me. I'm not suddenly going to stop writing now.

Haha, yeah, my old novel is getting more love now :3 It was just put on hold, because for NaNo you have to start with something new.
