Well, first off, are watchers like subscribers?

In a way they are, except subscribers (which is not possible on this site) pay
while watchers are people who will see everything that you post (from your art, to your journals) you could call them fans ^^

Hmm, when you click on your 'badges' on your homepage, sometimes you can see people who want to trade a llama for a point, that's a "slow" way of getting points
so you'll give them a llama and in return they automatically give you a point for it ^^
There are also raffles and such that people enter. So you can join those (i would suggest taking a look at the forum under the "More" tab above
