I've been thinking about your request and I decided to attempt your request, but in a different format. I have always thought better in 3D than I have in 2D (which is why I spend all my time mastering 2D art), however now that I feel a bit more comfortable I'm started to dabble in 3D programs (mainly Zbrush) and increase my proficiency. Right now I am working on my first Zbrush model which includes a rigged hand so that people can use the poses as a reference. This is what I've come up with so far: sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotosβ¦
I still have to rig it, and create a female version, but hopefully this can be of some use to you once it is completed.

That's practically just like looking at a real hand. I have hands. I can look at them. So, yes, you're very good at 3D, but it doesn't help much. What I was wondering about was your process, not your completed result. Regardless of if you like the hands you draw, I like them and I was just hoping for maybe like, a 4-step process. You don't have to teach me, just show me how you do it. Because I like how you do it.

I don't have any sort of 4 step process.
In terms of how I do it. I study the anatomy of the human body extensively. I learn how the skeleton works, and how the exterior muscles wrap around them. Because I understand the form I can break them into their rudimentary shapes in a 2D plane. This goes for every aspect of the human body, not just the hands.
So in short if you want to draw the hands the way I do, you must first understand how the hand works. Here are some tutorials (not made by me) which should help you understand the workings of the hand.

These tutorials may give you a vague understanding of drawings hands, however they will not help you as much as drawing from observation and studying anatomy.

I would but believe it or not hands are my weakest aspect in drawing as of now and I have a policy not to make tutorials in any area I don't feel I have a good grasp on. Thank you very much for the compliment, I draw my current hands by posing my hands in front of a mirror and using them as a reference.

I was looking through "weapons" links and saw your art, you have an increadable style. I have a weapon idea for an OC I'm creating, but I dont hve the tallent to draw it.
