Hi, sorry if this is bother some, but I was just on some D***holes page and I saw you were considering not continuing with art as a job (over a year ago) because you'd run into pretentious a**hats and I swear not everybody is like that. I go to a pretty small school (two buildings and graduating senior class of maybe 100) but I know lots of different people throughout the departments and they've never been anything but nice. We all have different ideas sure, but nobody will ever say your idea is bad. They often want to help you improve it and get it to where you want your art to be. I just wanted to let you know not all art people are like that and most are actually decent people. I know first hand Illustration departments are very welcoming and open to ideas like yours. I like your gallery a lot. It's very colorful! Not to mention your ID is such a cute little fox! I love foxes.ย

Found your page after dealing with this rude person who decided to "critique" my friend's art and argue with anyone who stood up for said friend. Pretty sure you know who I'm talking about. Anyways, I love your art and style overall as a whole. I'm just now learning how to paint both digitally and traditionally, so seeing art like yours has been a wonderful experience. Odd that you would link that. Surely that artists' style doesn't fit your perfect definition of art? Oh and, that person understands different styles and different opinions. Has a wicked sense of humor, too.

That's because all this long you have been acting under the assumption that I say the only art that matters is "hyperrealism". Which doesn't surprises me. You can't tell the difference between the wide spectrum of cartoon characters which can go from realistic down to hyper stylized. But that to exist does not mean that in any of them anatomy can be thrown out of the window like you sure love to do. Indeed, if you ever took the time to watch, you would notice cartoons will often follow some "unspoken" rules of anatomy. Like the lenght of the arms is dictated by the torso of the character.ย
But again, it's always easier to throw a rant about "mah style", "nobody's perfect", and "nobody know about art" (kinda funny, you are the one whose never had actual education, just art supplies whenever you ask) and pretend you are actually excused of any form of improvement in the sense that it doesn't take you 3 years to learn to draw a foot while leaving other details lackish. As if somehow improvement, self-realisation, and achieving of goals is something to be frowned upon.
Besides, you already made clear that you don't really give a damn about, let's say how to make your "art" less flawy for whatever reason. Also you showed interest in a form of "art" which most people doesn't practice pretty much because they think they can do better with other techniques beside the classy random paint here-and-there for no particular reason whatsoever. And since art is not your life, nor improvement either, I can't stop believing you don't really love/like/respect art. Not even if I try.

Where the fuck did you get that? I'm currently in art and have been for several years. Most of my art supplies were bought with my own money so I don't "get them whenever I ask." Lol...wtf
I'm not even going to try and logically decipher the rest of that word salad. I tried, but you just can't write in English. I have been working on self-improvement and my views on such have changed.
ย I do value critique, but there is a fundamental difference between "You suck at art, take lessons" and "you could do with some anatomy lessons, here's an example of what you could have done instead."
For the record, I've been doing both life-studies and anatomy studies. But I've also been doing my own free-hand work on the side. I still think that there is no right or wrong way to do art, only right or wrong techniques for certain things such as painting.

Honey, allow me to give you an update; the situation with my "anger" has been discussed already (someone else got ahead earlier this year) and I subsecuently realized I was having temper issues which reflected on my mood against other people. Since then, I've been working on my temper progressively. Still, there are some episodes of rage from time to time due to people testing my patience. Which if you didn't knew, is very short and burns fast. Real fast.
But here is the catch, you can't pretend to use a technique which undeniably requires the rules, then pretend that ignoring them will give the same result. The webcomic media is literally paved on that idea with the exact same results as with you, and your blue self in a swimwear. I have been repeating it for years: know what the hell you are doing. If you were playing with more free techniques, I would have perfectly took glance at anything you do, then pass it up.ย
You can't pretend to draw a fully detailed human body with minimum simplyfication, then commit the mistakes you did. I can't seriously believe you ever have had any education on arts. It shows. It's like riding a bike. You simply don't skip it. It was until I stumbled upon you (or was it the other way around?) and repeated over again that you should study, practice, and improve that you begun with the life drawings, the journals anouncing you were studying, and your replies telling me non-stop that you were studying.
To be frank, I do nothing with your words if whenever I see your works, I can't see it. Why are you telling me this is beyond my comprehension. After I stopped going over your gallery unless I really ran out of patience, you made like 10-20 drawings (?) and I didn't even stopped by to tell you to fuck yourself. If are going to study, just study. It's for yourself, not for anyone else. NO, I'm not contradicting myself. If you pick the wrong technique and didn't do well, you have to admit it, then look forward improvement. Even if it is a hobby. Otherwise, it would be like saying not liking people to tell you you are a bad poker player, but you insist in not getting any better at it.
I don't really feel like continuing this discussion with you. I have already said all I had to, and replying the same yet another time is getting tiresome. For the record, for a time, I thought you learned not to be stubborn and to really put of your part. I admit I even thought well of you. But looking how have you been acting, I don't feel like empathising with you anymore.
