I remember when I was in the hospital on dilaudid, high as balls.
That stuff was the only thing to numb the pain of tubes through the ribs. Morphine ain't got nothin' on dilaudid.

sounds like we were in the same boat. i had 3 chest tubes through the ribs cause i bruised my lung.
i had a tube from my left arm into my heart. they'd pump dilaudid straight into it... oh ive never felt anything so orgasmic lol

I had a tube about a half to three quarter inch thick through my ribs because I collapsed one of my lungs. And then they stuck a huge needle through my back every day for a while to pull out the fluid that was collecting.

dr's here did that too, stupid ass kept poking my rib on accident. it must have been his first time with a needle a feel long.

Dilaudid was the only thing that actually worked in getting me to quit smoking.
Sort of.
I quit for about 3 months and just started again on my own. It was a situational thing. I just needed a damned smoke, and BAM!
