It's the symbol for 'Om' or 'Aum', used in Hinduism and Buddhism and other Eastern religions. I just find it aesthetically pleasing, really.

Thank you! I try to avoid it as much as possible, but occasionally I will give in to temptation and make small adjustments to contrast/exposure. (I just keep telling myself that if I had a better camera, I wouldn't need to!)

Most of the underwater pics I have were actually taken on the Great Barrier Reef up in Queensland - so not exactly that close to home, for me (I live just north of Sydney).
