Your Black Knight Armor cosplay is incredible! Do you know of anyone who could create something similar to sell? Have always wanted this type of costume (CONs and Halloween) but with the regular Black Knight Sword.

Any chance you can take pictures of the swords you made

Which one? The only sword I've made from scratch is El'druin (Tyrael's sword). The black knight sword is a modified store-bought toy because I ran out of time (hence the inaccuracy and size difference). Apparently I forgot to post the tutorial I made for that, but I just posted it.

No problem! That's some pretty legit armor you're building there. Unlike mine, it's actually functional

I especially love that you specialize with bad ass characters with practical full armor suits. Find it extremely refreshing.

I do enjoy making armor, glad you like it ^^
Not as comfortable with my sewing skills, but I'm slowly getting better.

Funny enough is that I am exactly opposite as you. I can sew straight very well and know how to pick out fabric and threads, but I have a hard time making armor. I am though eager to learn how to make armor and want to do it myself ultimately.

Working with worbla isn't too bad once you get used to it. One thing I really like about armor making compared to sewing is mistakes are much easier to fix. Just heat up the worbla, reshape, or whatever. Sewing, I need to be more careful. My one friend has started calling me the "seam ripper queen" XD

I have armor making friend that I really trust to use gym mat foam instead of Worbla. It melted in 90 degree heat and is insanely pricey compared to foam that stands the heat better. Also as a piece of sewing advice. Warm up by sewing on your scraps so you don't make a mistake on the real deal. Also look at sewing lessons because I learned a huge deal from them too.

Unless you left it in the car, 90 F will not melt worbla (or if you mean Celsius, yes that's the activation temperature of worbla). Everyone has their own preferences, but I personally don't like foam because it's not durable. I can throw my armor across the room, and other than a few chips in the paint, it will otherwise be fine. Worbla is also very fast to work with and not messy at all. Worth every penny IMO.
Yeah, I've gotten better about actually testing things on a scrap before sewing. Even then, every once in a while, I'm careless and sew something on upside down or my cheap sewing machine jams for no reason.
