As a former Marine and from a family of Marines, two brothers and a nephew I wish you all the luck in the world. You obviously have the stamina to succeed the rest is just rote memory and discipline. My nephew is the only active duty member of the corps and is presently serving in Afghanistan. I am proud and apprehensive at the same time. As a guy with a purple heart from Vietnam I know the seriousness of war. I am not some Phony fair weather patriot waving the flag and turning my back. I commend you for your endeavor. Most people aren't willing to make that sacrifice.

As somebody who did not grow up in a military family you can imagine how shocked my parents felt when I said I was enlisting AFTER college ha ha. I am very, very excited for what is to come and how drastic my life will change when I step on those yellow footprints...I promise to carry on the tradition, the honor, the courage and the commitment beyond the best of my abilities!
