Ah good, what always comes down must always go up, right? Thank you, you’re sweet too .

Yeahhh, there’s snakes and spiders and sharks but where I live there aren’t AS many I don’t think. I saw a massive jellyfish the size of a dinner plate on the beach though, that was scary. I like the warm weather though and the cute parrots and the people. I hope you have amazing adventures wherever you are too!^^

And you're very welcome. That sounds very nice, though. Glad you aren't near too many crazy things. Please take some photos of the parrots!!! Just get a nature shot, no buildings. That would be so pretty!! Could you post them on here? I could probably post photos of my trip, too

Hey! No, it wasn't big. It was small enough to fit in one hand. It was light pink, slimy, soft, and squishy. I was gentle with it. It was...SO CUTE. I wanted to keep it. I really did. hahaha. <3

Sweet!!! I would love to see the parrots!!!! post em. And tag me, so I don't just delete it accidentally from my notifications. If my name is in it, I'm more than likely to stop for a moment and check it. hahaha.

Well... you can always check back on Project Comment!
But since it takes me a long time to produce new work, what I have been doing over the last couple of months was just old stuff. It would be great if you get to see the new stuff as it comes off, hot off the press!

Aah... I will try my hardest!

My problem is I have a full-time job that takes up most of my free time. And as a consequence I am really, really slow. And that's not counting all the potential mistakes!

But... I will keep doing my best. And I hope that even if I can't keep impressing you, at least I'll keep you entertained.

Silverliningzzz In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2017-05-08 05:43:24 +0000 UTC]

Agh jobs, how tedious. School is no better. Still i can understand how draining jobs can be, I remember my dad used to come home and then just spend all his time on computers and on the phone.

And your best is enough for me! Im sure that you'll be doing both!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Silverliningzzz [2017-05-08 06:14:02 +0000 UTC]

You know when you know you've got it bad?
When your dad tells you over the phone to take it easy at work... when your dad refuses to retire after hitting 65...
And yeah... he's done that to me a couple times already...

But hey... I probably inherited his workaholic gene. So... I'll keep working... as hard as I could!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverliningzzz In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2017-05-08 16:10:07 +0000 UTC]

Well I think you should definitely take his advice then.
Aw man, that's a bummer. Sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel better, Im in the same boat you're in. Thats not a good thing, huh?
I suppose working hard is good, just dont...Over do it and become stressed ok? I don't wanna see you have a mental break down.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Silverliningzzz [2017-05-09 03:35:03 +0000 UTC]

Oh, mental break down? You're too late. I've already had one before.
It wasn't fun. And that's why my dad's keeping a closer eye on me now about not working too hard.

But bad habits die hard. And he really shouldn't be saying things like this to me. It's kind of like the pot calling the kettle black... But that's not something you say to your dad, after all. So I do the best I can and try to keep my head on my shoulders for as long as I could. And it's been about 2 years... recovery is slow, but at least it's working out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverliningzzz In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2017-05-09 14:33:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh no! You poor thing! Im really sorry to have brought it up. I hope you're better now.

Oh I see. Well at least he cares enough to check up on you, right?

They do. They really, really do. It is hypocritical of your father, but you need to focus on the positive and not the negative. You can't control it can you? Recovery is always slow, but if you're making progress then that's what counts.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Silverliningzzz [2017-05-10 05:30:23 +0000 UTC]

No need to worry. Burn out isactually a relatively common occurrence in my profession. While not everybody goes down the path of a breakdown, there is still a good number who do. The suicide rate in the job is about 3-10 times higher than the general population, so it's definitely an occupational hazard. But then again, I like to think I've gotten better. I'm still working and I actually like what I do. So that's definitely something.

Recovery is a lot easier when there are folks who check up on you, too. So on that account, I do have to thank my dad. I just wish that he could use some of that care on himself and mum! Mum has always said that I am a chip off the old block and I am too much like my dad. I guess sometimes mum really knows best!

Still, must be pretty rough. I'm sorry to hear it, I truly am. You poor things. If you enjoy it then I suppose its good. It it something and something is better than nothing, right?

Yeah, I bet. Im always here. I know it's not much, I'm just a person behind a screen, but if I could cheer you up, even a little bit, it'd mean a lot. Yeah, mum's tend to be very wise. Mine definitely is XD. Strange how you spell it the English way, I thought only we did that.

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Silverliningzzz [2017-05-28 05:27:22 +0000 UTC]

There are some jobs in the work that is just a bit more awful than others. But they still need to be done because most of the time they are essential. I happen to be in one of those jobs, you see. I really appreciate your concern, I am really touched! But it's just as you said, it's definitely something. And in this day and age, something is better than nothing.

And thanks for being here, too! I am sorry that I couldn't get back to you sooner. I was away moving from one province to another. Spent 4 whole days driving, pretty much. I just got back not so long ago and I am catching up on my messages. I am doing my best!

Oh, spelling "mum"? Well, I'm in Canada. We spell some things the old English way and some things the American way. You might say we are literally somewhere in the middle. I write this way because that's pretty much how I say it, too. It works out, you know?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverliningzzz In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2017-05-28 23:03:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that's very true. I know, it just sucks that people still have to do it and the affects that it has on them. I hope it didn't sound creepy. I'm not very articulate with emotions and things like that. Hence why the short sentences. Yep! Small progress is still progress which I always think means something. It definitely is.

Oh its ok, you do have to have a life outside of the internet, unfortunately for me, since I hide under my blankets at 6:00 AM in the morning just to watch Youtube for an hour before going to school. I still think it's better than spending that hour sat at mirror, layering make-up on my face. Four whole days just..Driving?!? Wow, that's impressive. Do you suffer from insomnia? I would fall asleep straight away, no matter what time of day it was. Oh my goodness, I can imagine how many notifications you must've been spammed with. I literally don't go on DA for the weekend and I'm greeted with ninety new notifications and I only care about seventeen of them.

Oh that's really cool! I like things being balanced, it gives a sense of tranquillity, don't you? I hear many people in England say tomato weird and spell centre, center. The American ways are just infectious I guess. It does!

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Silverliningzzz [2017-05-30 06:57:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that's OK. It doesn't sound creepy at all. (Besides, you don't do what I do without a little bit of a gallows humour. ) There are a lot of things in life that just needs to be done - because if you don't do them, nobody else will. I guess I'm one of those folks in one of those jobs. Besides, any little progress is good progress, right?

When you are the person driving... it's harder to fall asleep. Besides, that's what breaks are for. Sleeping at the wheel is something quite dangerous - and since I've actually almost done that before, I would be able to say first hand how dangerous that could be. (In the meantime... yeah, I'm a bit of a night owl who is forced to wake up early to work. So... I guess you can say I suffer from insomnia? ) I have about 60 comments; add that with notifications and notes, I came back to over 1000 items in the inbox. And I am still trying to clear them out. It's taking longer than I thought! But I'm working on it steadily. So hopefully I'll get the inbox cleared out enough to be able to sleep soundly at night. ... maybe... On that note... I think watching an hour of videos -is- better than spending an hour putting on make-up, too. For one, it's a lot cheaper!

The American ways has been slowly infecting a lot of places in the world. The Canadians are starting to drop their diphthongs in words like "neighbour", "labour" and "savour". I still write them all out, mostly because that's the way I was taught. I still write "metre" and "centre", too. And dammit.. it's "paediatrics" and "anaesthesia"! I should start a "Keep our diphthongs!" campaign...
