So... What's Israel like? I've always wanted to visit, but unless for some unlikely reason I get stationed there, I'll probably never get the chance.

Hmm it's a warm country with warm and lovely people (well most of them are (: ). Lovely views and many places to travel to, many interesting historic sites u can visit. But also it has the fun and western side; at nights and weekends we visit pubs and clubs, drink and have fun.
Technologically advanced and very political people.
Israel is like an oasis of western culture in the Middle East; with the exception of compulsory service in the IDF after we graduate high school (about 20% are combat soldiers).

If u want, I can get more deeply, just be more specific about what u wanna know :) (Smile)

I don't know, there's just this sort of... mystique that always surrounds Israel. It's so vague, I'm not even sure how to describe it.
