You are welcome! Student X I think is really well written poem (and it even rhymes ). I am not that experienced in commenting texts.. But I think that there is a nice "flow" in it. The stanzas goes well together and you still manage to change the feeling towards the end where the point, furthermore, is expressed in a good way
And what I love the most is the meaning of the text.. Being one of the best students, working so hard and giving it your all, and then nothing matters because no one remembers you or knows who you are..
Somehow it is a very sad and tragic text.. But it is very beautiful!

Wow!! Thanks for the devWATCH! Now I feel REALLY special!!! Thank you so much! Hopefully the rest of my work won't disappoint!
To be honest, I would love to sell my creations and have them travel all over the world! It would be such an amazing dream come true, however, I'm very inexperienced with shipping and I don't want any disappointing damages to occur from the time it leaves my hands to the time it arrives a recipients.
So until I feel comfortable with my shipping prowess, I will most likely open up commissions or make some just to sell. I'll keep you posted for when that day comes though!

You have not disappointed me at all. So far I think all your work is amazing.
And I understand why you are not ready to ship, sell etc. yet. But if you will remember me the day you are ready I will be very happy!
Until then I will continue to enjoy your artwork in here.

Thanks for the words of encouragement!! I've actually begun looking into the whole shipping business as of late, so hopefully I can get some of my friends to be my test subjects.. =]

Nice! Unfortunately I have no experience with shipping myself so I am not able to give you any tips or advice at all.. But I hope it is not too complicated.
By the way I am a bit curious - For how long have you been making these figures? And where did you learn to do it?

Haha, its not overly complicated. But I'm a bit of a perfectionist which can drive me insane at times and shipping is such a big worry for me.. Shipping worries + perfectionist = a terrible time. Haha!
Hmm, I actually started 11 months ago in August 2008. I learned it in the last week just before I left for school; well, that's when my first creation was made. I first discovered needle felting on a site when I saw someone else's creations. Intrigued, I did a couple of site searches to learn more about it, but there weren't a lot of material on the web. So I took to a couple of videos on youtube, and it seemed really basic and interesting. Finally, with enough interested amounted in what was possibly 2-3 weeks, I went out in search of materials to begin.
So really, it was all internet research that began the foundations of my learning. Since then, I've just come up with techniques of felting on my own to see which I have the best at hand. In all honesty, when I first started doing the Pink Pig, I had no idea what I was doing or in what direction I was headed at! I'm just glad the pig turned out better than what I had thought it would have became.. haha!

Wow, I just saw a movie on youtube about needle felting - and I had no idea that your figures were made of wool! When it is coloured it really looked like some sort of fabric...
Anyway, it actually does not look as difficult as I had imagined (probably because the video just showed how to make a round figure without arms legs or anything). But I must say that you pink pig is very beautiful and it does not look like your first work.
Hmmm.. I am still suprized that it is made from wool.. I did not know you could work with it like that. I remember making a small ball from wool when I was younger (fresh wool - so my parents threw the ball away because it stank ) but I just formed it in water and did not use a needle.

Cool! You have almost been making them for a year then. Early congrats to you
And I am quite impressed that you learned to make them just by using your computer.. and you have actually made many different figures with different shapes (sitting animals, four-legged animals and a doll). I wish I was as quick to learn (or as talented ) - but I do not think I am patient enough..
Do you mind if I put you on my friendslist? (so I will notice it once/if you decide that you are ready to ship)
