yeah, 3 shows here, and then 1 in San Francisco (that I have pictures of on here).
Being in the video was awesome, and Shirley told me I was "Pinkalicious" (my hair was pink). Heehee.

Heehee, thats cool. Yeah, they had to restart Metal Heart at one of the shows because Butch fucked up.

Yeah, I did! I was in Montréal, and it was pretty much a PERFECT experience. I'm telling all my friends to do it this year. I had a blast, and my French is so much improved. I THOUGHT I was fluently before I went, and then I got back home speaking at a level I never even thought I could get to. And I totally have the Quebecois accent dialed! And I made money!

I'm still excited about it.

Mine wasn't exactly PERFECT: the family I stayed with was SO uptight but they were patient with me when it came to speaking French. I had gotten high 90's all through high school in French but when I got there I was totally lost. The accent is so different, and the slang. I worked at a kids day camp and the kids always tried to trick me and stuff. It was terrible. But the whole experience made me really independent and a lot more outgoing. Going out to the bar a few nights a week when you're 17 isn't too bad either.

I still understand French very well but I couldn't carry on a conversation today. I'm hoping to take at least one French class this coming semester at university ... I want to keep it up. It's really valuable.

My family was really hip, and I still keep in touch with my exchangee. I definitely loved learning the slang.

I worked as a councillor at a YMCA day camp, msotly with 6-8 year olds. Since it was Montreal, though, many of them spoke English as their first language, which was a bit of a drag on days when I really wanted to practice. I had lots of great friends on staff though, which is where I got alot of my language practice.

I'm really keen on going back to Montreal for university now, or Ottawa, partly just to keep up the skills I've developed.

That's neat. Sadly, when I went, everyone still used ICQ so we all exchanged ICQ numbers and now that nobody uses it anymore and instead uses MSN ... I am not in contact with anyone, except for one person.

I worked with kids from 8-12 in the g-hetto of Quebec City. A lot of them had really bad learning disabilities and behaviour problems, and they all had attitude problems. One kid even brought a tazer once. I was like, YOU'RE A BABY! WHERE DID YOU GET A TAZER? Most people that I came across in Quebec didn't know any English, but they watched all English TV shows in English. Weird.

I applied to Concordia in Montreal and Carleton in Ottawa, both for Journalism ... but it's too far from home. I'm only living in Toronto, an hour away from my dad's house, and I've been home only twice since September. Ryerson was my first choice anyway. What do you want to take at university?
