I read this article summarizing the plot of the Modern Warfare series [link] and I want to know your thoughts if you find his analysis accurate. Do you really think General Shepherd had foresight of the war? Was he this devoted to killing Makarov?

I really dont know... I think the reason he set up allen and the others was probally cause revenge.. from 5 years ago.. but why?

I honestly think that Shepherd had no intention of double-crossing 141. Shepherd only did what he did because only after he got a blank check. He got the blank check only after the US realized that Russia launched an EMP to them. What the US gov't doesn't know is that TF141 had a hand in this. If the gov't found out, Shepherd would be toast. But seeing how this could be an advantage to capturing Makarov, he takes the check and plays along. Then, he would have to terminate 141 because if the secret got found out through their testimonies, he would be... well... toast. So I believe the reason for 141's downfall is not Shepherd, but actually the actions of Capt. Price
