Also! The headbase is ready to fur (I just need to attach the ears.) I just am researching about glasses. Glasses fit when it's being worn, but I'm worried about putting it on, since normally when you pull on a fursuit head, the neck would smoosh your glasses into your face when you put it on, so I'm looking into how people solve this problem tonight XD

Ha I just got on to show you. I just finished the tape pattern for the face. I got some minky, in the right colors (this stuff is hard to find bruh ;u; ) and I feel confident enough to use it (if you still want it yea) I'll post a pic to my tumblr of the markings + minky and see what you think

It's on my tumblr. The green is a liitle darker than the original (and a lot darker than the green fur). The only reason I seeked out minky instead of fur was the green I got (the mongolian) has a very thin backing, so once you shave it down, you see the backing. The ivory and the green do look pretty good together tho. (it's a bit lighter and more saturated than in the photo, it washed out quite a bit)
I also would plan on lining the ivory minky with Ivory fur, for a little nicer transition. And using a strip of ivory fur on the bottom jaw to hide the seam and give him a little goatee kind of thing + transition onto the neck for more nice too. The horns and nose are also made of a different kind of minky (more fluffy, less fur looking) XD

I plan to WORK HARD and /hopefully/ ship him on Thursday so he'll be there like, Wednesday for you. I looked it up and shipping should be under/close to $50 (unless you want expedited/2 day shipping which is about twice the price). I will also need your address for it (I'd advise you to see if you can note it to me privately, or I can give you my phone number to text me it) and another partial payment. Seeing as you're going to be going to a con (I still assume you are, Furcon?) I wouldn't want you to be broke there(totes unfun not to be able to buy anything), so since there's still 200 due, I'd be willing to take only 100 before I ship it (so it'll pay for shipping + the last materials cost) and get the last before/close to the end of the month.

Also for the glasses thing, I think I found a couple solutions. Normally fursuits are made so you pull them on over your head like a shirt kinda, but with glasses that's a huge pain. So most people make it so you can like, put your face into them instead. I can either leave the neck flap open (by not sewing it shut all the way to the bottom. I'd recommend using a bandana this way to kinda hold it shut), or I have some like, hook clasps (like on skirts n stuff) or just plain ol' buttons (might be able to see them in the back.)Β Figured I'd leave it up to you c:

I think clasps would be fine, those sound the least visible but still sturdy! If you cant get clasps in time, then buttons (or nothing) would work fine as well.

put up a pic of the back of the head. It's a lil crooked on my friend but normally it's straight XD There's 3 hook and eye clasps in the back. You might need help fastening them, because it's kinda hard to fumble with them when you have the head on. Otherwise easy for a second person to do it.
Also I have two dif sizes of gem. One is a small oval, the other a more diamond shape. I'll send both, they both have a magnet on them, and there's two magnets in his face. One right above the point of green, the other in the ivory fur on his forhead. You can swap the gems out to see which you prefer. If the magnets fall/pull off, you probably can just super glue them back on (I used hot glue but it comes off if you're not careful). If you'd like to try making your own(pretty easy, I can make a tutorial), I can send the materials too. I did magnets since there's that "point of no return" if you'd glue em on, and I figured you'd want to see what they look like before you did. They're also like, not fragile but can bend easy, so replacing them would be nice if something happened

When brushing him, careful around the base of the ears and the back tips of them. The tips have a thread in each to pull the fluff on the top back so it had more shape. behind the ear has quite a fewΒ shaping threads, for when I was pulling the horns into symmetrical position. They probably wont break if you snag em a couple times, but just do you don't think they're a knot in the fur and try and brush em out
