I don't feel alive, either way. Kind of got a lot going on in my mind and have been struggling to keep up with even simple things. I dunno how to be social when I'm in these moods

Hey! I was rather inspired by your gauntlet of doom, and now want to make a chestpiece of my own (yes, i know this will be a royal hell), but i can't seem to figure a way of making the scales in a moderately cheap way! Feel like enlightening me?

Blowtorches are impractical for large numbers.
Sheet shears only work on lame metals, also see above, but will give you hulk smash hands and arthritis at twenty.
Wholesalers never quiet have what you want, but are affordable considering your time, effort and tears have a value as well.
That said, if you really wana do it yourself, I recommend finding sheet metal you can feasibly cut through. Make a manual lever press, and stamp them out. ( Maybe even just a sledge hammer, cookie cutter, and circular grinder? xD) This will take a LOT of ingenuity on your part and probably a lot more money unless your connected, sociable and highly resourceful, but it's how the proffs do it.
My personal recommendation. 'Two' holes, side by side for attachment rings instead of the common 'one.'
The concave ridge in the middle of each of my scales lend much greater strength and structure.
Keep in mind ring size and how your going to put the piece together if you do make your own scales.
Aspect ratio and all that jazz.
Time is all it takes in this craft.
Good Luck!

Hey, sorry I took so long to reply. I'm not on here that much anymore. I'm glad you're doing good and getting all settled in. Things have been pretty different for me. I've been living with my dad in Greeley. And my brother and mom both moved out of state in the past four months. But i've been doing really good in school, and have a part time job that I like.
