# About me
I'm Sonic Maverick, but I now like to be called SM or Maverick Pro. (short for Productions). I was born in the United States, and most of my family was born in the West Indian countries of Barbados, Trinidad, and Jamaica. I do well in school, as I get all A's on my report card and I am in National Honor Society.I like to draw. I've been drawing every since I was 3, and I have never drawn stick figures. I have always drawn people with a body. As a kid, Dragon Ball Z used to be my favorite show, and I used to draw it all the time. Then came Sonic...
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the second video game I've ever played (the first being Donkey Kong country for SNES, or Famicon in Japan). It was thrilling. My cousin David first introduced it to me when I was about 3-5. Ever since then, I have been a DBZ-Sonic fanatic (well, not so much with DBZ anymore).
My favorite type of games are platformers. The Sonic, Mario, Kirby, and Viewtiful Joe series are my favorite. Viewtiful Joe is an exciting and amazing-looking game. Sonic is fast, Kirby you suck up people and get their powers, and Mario just has the best platforming, especially Super Mario Galaxy. I don't play many shooters, as my mom prohibits me from playing them (aside from Halo). I only play them at my friends house, and we're currently trying to beat Left 4 Dead 2 (a VERY scary and jump-right-at-you game).
My favorite art styles are Manga (pronounced mon-gah to all of you people who didn't know), Portraits, and Cartoons. I draw all types, but now I am practicing portraits and painting them, with the help from my new tutor in painting.
