# About me
I'm a fairly ordinary person who sometimes draws things for fun. Most of my art is just character art stuff for various TTRPGs I'm playing (probably over the internet). I use a tablet and a couple programs to draw stuff. I keep all the old things I've uploaded available as some vague record of progress. God, I used to be even more terrible than I am now.Art's just a hobby, my main career interest is physics.

Well ,to be perfectly honest, I have joined some clubs, but rarely, if ever, do anything beyond just getting myself on the member list and putting their pretty licttle icon in my journal..
I suppose I'm not what you could call active in the community aspects of DA. But, I'll give the place a look, at least.

I think by now it's not too big a deal about the flamingo, but thanks for the apology. By now it's sort of passing into the realm of an unhappy but oddly funny story.

heh, well I felt bad about it. It was a moment of stupidity, osmething I am no stranger to. But anyway my personal anime collection is growing rapidly, so luckily I do not have to do without. Still, I do remember having quite a blast watching the stuff for the first time at your house. IT was really my first real exposure to naime in general and that interest is growing by the year the more I can afford and watch. Even the old stuff you have is starting to come out on DVD for really cheap, so I can relive the craziness and fanservice of Burn Up W, Gunsmith Cats, Iria, and Plastic Little without breaking hte bank. Obsession is fun.

Yep, obsession is fun. I actually went and watched some of the old VHS tapes when I was home for Christmas, since it had been forever since I last saw them.
Unfortunately, I don't have large amounts of money to drop on anime purchases, so mny collection's pretty small. But there is an anime club at UF, so I'm at least keeping up with watching random series and stuff.
As for moments of stupidity, everyone suffers from them.

You mean Lovecraft's elder gods?
Hoo boy, this could take a while. In general, any one of them seems to have tentacles, except maybe Nyarlathotep. I think he looks pretty much human. The elder gods are also known to be indifferent to humanity, meaning any plans they have might seem evil. or maybe they are evil, their motives never really get discussed.
The most well-known is probably Cthulhu, who's also one of the most concretely defined in appearance. Big, blubbery, humanoid, but with an octopus for a head and dragonlike wings (probably other dragon features as well). That's a vague idea, anyway. Sleeps in R'lyeh and waits for his human worshippers to come and let him out "when the stars are right." Most notable appearance: "The Call of Cthulhu"
After that, the gods start getting more abstract. Azathoth's a blind idiot god bubbling and blaspheming in the cneter of swirling chaos, or something like that. Nyarlathotep is some sort of go-between between various gods and humanity, from what I can tell. Yog-Sothoth, I don't know much about, but you mgith want to check out "The Dunwich Horror" for more information. I also don't know much about Shub-Niggurath other than that he's referred to as the black goat of the woods with a thousand young.
And that's probably more than you'd want to know. In any case, I'd suggest reading Lovecraft's various stories for a better picture. Most of them are collected in various books.

Some local book stores might already carry at least some of the collections. But, if they don't it shouldn't be too hard to order them.
That's Nyarlathotep, all right. And the Cthulhu plushie is wonderful; my friend got one at A-kon a few years back.
