Top Tip EDIT: When I said nail varnish, I meant nail varnish REMOVER! Otherwise you'll get very brightly coloured models...

Top Tip Continued from previous: There are other methods for paint removal, as I have a feeling that white spirits are one of them... but I'm not entirely sure of the price comparisons between white spirits and nail varnish, so its best to check before hand... or just use the technique that suits you. Oh yeah, to scrape off the paint after the nail varnish remover, use a toothbrush (preferably one that no one is currently using, otherwise that's not toothpaste you're using!) or a sterilized pin/needle or cocktail stick.

Top Tip: Got some painted models off a friend, and you need to remove the paint? Use nail varnish! Ok, I admit, if you're a guy, you might get funny looks from people if you buy it, so get a female friend to buy some! It's strong enough to help remove paint off METAL miniatures (wouldn't try it on plastic or resin though...) as well as not harming your fingernails - as long as you choose a good brand, or one that is for sensitive skin or dry nails, as you have many different kinds for different people...like shampoo! But it's always good to check if your allergic to stuff like that, just in case... if you are, give it to your female friend as a present!

Top Tip: When painting, think about how much paint is on the brush, and whether or not there is enough to cover the area you're painting, as I noticed with some of my Warhammer friends, you can sometimes overload the brush (which has happened to me a couple of times, if I'm painting a really large area, and I misjudged the amount of paint). Of course, it's probably just me not using enough paint - which is why I take AGES to paint!

Top Tip: Need a background for your miniatures? Either edit it with the appropriate photo-editing software (which I don't have a clue about!) Or, do as I do, by using blank sheets of paper, set one on the ground as a flat surface for the model, and the other at the back - takes a bit of practice to balance it though, so it helps to use something to support it.
p.s: Take note of the sunlight or lighting, as this may affect whether or not your model gets the necessary light for the photo.
