Eagle diving out of the scene fast. I had no time to set anything I was also at a very slow speed and wasn't expecting the dive.

good shots! I like the one of it flying away. Crazy damn eagles...I watched one pick on an Osprey one time. It was interesting as the eagle finally just landed while the Osprey swooped at it several times. The eagle of course didn't flinch. I watched an Osprey do the same thing with Crows and other small birds as it was perched on a telephone pole. They have some confidence...

Yeah, unfortunately, I missed out on the lovely view of the Bald Eagle and the two Osprey flying toward me. I didn't even know it was going on, until I heard an Osprey. I turned around and fumbled around trying to get to my camera and just basically shot with whatever I had it set on but I couldn't track them fast enough to find them at first. Yeah, the avian world is definitely a hostile one. I would like to hit Klamath Basin this November. There should be hundreds of migrating Eagles at that time. Good time for some photos!

Thanks for the great words! I'm glad you enjoyed browsing. Good choice on the camera - I really enjoy mine and they do take amazing photos. Trust me, Oregon is the same way (USA)...gray skies for 8 months of the year. Thats what the IS (image stabilization) is for! Get out there with a tripod a shoot anyway.

Thanks, it has treated me well over the last few years. Heck of a trade-off for the photo equip to something less pleasant during the winter months! Can't replace them in the spring and summer though. It's actually one of my favorite ways to go take pictures, go for a ride. Nothing better than the perspective you get from a helmet.
