# About me
I am currently a university student in Sheffield at the University of Sheffield and, as is tradition for a student, live just off-campus in a house filled with friends.I am now around the age of 21, and starting to come to the latter half of my studies. As a result I have come to realise my course may not necessarily be my passion and that sketching, photography and, recently, writing are. Never-mind, a degree is valuable and I will do my best to get one.
Music: There comes a point when someone will inevitable like to know your music tastes, if nothing but to pit them against the sounds they like. I can happily inform you that I like most things, and it would be easier to list the things I don't like. I don't like most rap, the new R&B is not for me - too much technology influencing your voice does not mean you're good at singing (quite the opposite). I don't like dubstep, techno or drum&bass; I just don't see the point. This includes anything that's annoyingly repetitive or stupidly written lyrics (e.g. Friday, Rebecca Black).
Generally speaking: if the instruments are real, and the singing is from a real voice, then there's a good chance I'll like it.
I now have a Windows 7, yay. Not much more to say, apart from the fact that it just outshines my Vista by a few million 'lumins'.
In terms of art, I can appreciate anything, and I'm interested in getting my drawing skills up, as well as my photography which has been a very long standing passion of mine, one which has recently been doing well since getting my Canon EOS 450D. Next steps on that front is getting the funds for lenses and other bits and bobs. Writing is a new thing for me, and I hope to really get that going too. *edit* - I'm now a blogger, come find me on the link below!
I'm pretty open minded, and I am up for trying pretty much anything. I'm a big fan of the outdoors, and quite like exercise. If there's anywhere I'd like to go, I'd like to experience Antarctica (yes, I can ski - I am half Norwegian).
There's more I could say, but I feel this might be a little too much already...

Oh well, I usually get 'round to it in the end. Where my reading has now settled at a constant slow speed now, I'd like to think that the more I write, the more I reply and the more I comment - the faster my typing will get!
So, hopefully, I can keep up? Who knows?

firstly, I am amazed you feel that way, as the internet and computers are rather cold and impersonal

Well - I don't like the idea of making everything devoid of expression or emotion. It's not a pleasant though, and I'd like to see the best in everything.
So even if it IS just a bit of text on a screen, I still think it should have meaning to it, and I usually project it onto the text as I read it.

Thanks for the fav big brother! Yeah me and Jacob went out onto the beach on a windy but sunny day during low tide. The wind was blowing out to sea so it blew dry sand onto wet sand, giving the effects in the picture
